    Hatton/Calzaghe dodging everyone...

    Folks

What do we think of Hatton dodging everyone credible apart from an old Kosta? And Calzaghe dodging anyone good apart from Jeff Lacy?

Much as I love us English folk, those two boxers shamed us...Hatton fighting Urango instead of Mayweather, Cotto and everyone else; Calzaghe dodging everone credible and fighting the UFC guy no-one gives a **** about.

    Discuss.

The reason British boxing is such a joke is that any decent fighter that comes out of there just milks the fans for years fighting nothing but bums. 99% of Hatton's fights have been against total bums. Calzaghe has fought a few good fighters here and there, but he won't leave the UK no matter what...

When British fighters come to the US, they get exposed because the fighters here are just plain better. Go watch Hatton-Collazo for an example...

Mayweather wanted DLH, not Hatton. Hatton wants DLH later, not today. First, Hatton will fight Castillo, a fight he could very well lose (if Castillo hasn't aged his body too much trying to make weight).

Calzaghe will fight Taylor soon, right? If that's the plan then it's not fair to say he's dodging. because that's a legit fight. It'd be nice if Joe left the UK for once though.

All in all, this 'ducking and dodging' bull**** is played out. Sometimes you have to set fights up. Sometimes there are things going behind the scenes we do not know about that hinder a fight. To cut it down to a simple 'He's dodging' is usually unthoughtful. They tried to say the same **** about Roy all the time, never acknowledging a fight not happening could be anyone's fault but Roy's.

      Check, please.

Hatton will be beaten by Urango so we won't have to talk about him much longer anyway.........I like Joe Cal tho that cat can fade I just hope he has a few big fights before retiring into the sunset.

I like how you love to apply this logic against Roy, but throw it out the window when discussing Mayweather...

I'm sure Hatton will struggle with that prospect Urango and blame it on coming back down from welter or some other lame ass excuse...

I think it is going to be a **** kicker and after seeing Hatton put on ***** street by Collazo I don't think his chin will hold up against the strong hard hitting young columbian with little skill.

Sin...Roy would not retire at 28 after fighting DLH. There is no comparison. Roy and Floyd are not the same guy just because they are both black, fast, and occupied the number one p4p slot. The key difference is this: Floyd has a lot of talent around 147 to fight, and instead he is retiring.

But I give him credit for fighting DLH. I am not a Floyd hater so your logic does not apply to me. I've always given him credit for his EARLY resume. I can respect Margarito at the same time.
