I agree that Hatton wouldnt beat Mayweather, although I would be over the ****ing moon if he did. Mayweather is fighting DLH so isnt available, Cotto is up at welter where Hatton doesnt want to be. True, I wish he wasnt fighting Urango but **** it, he is and let's hope it goes forward from here. If we wins this he will have won four world titles in four fights - i;m sorry but that is one hell of an achievement. and when he did move up to welter he fought Luis Collazo, a highly skilled and very dangerous champion who was undefeated in four years and who had come off a great win over Rivera. Who did Floyd fight? ****ing Sharmbad Mitchell. Which belt did Floyd win? The WBC against Gatti? Which did Hatton win? The linear against Tszyu - it doesnt even compare. you cant fault Hatton at the moment as long as he fights Castillo after Urango (which i agree is a poor fight). As for Calzaghe, well what can you say. I wish Mr Warren would change his ways but he just won't. Let's hope The Blow does fight Taylor after Manfredo, cos at the minute his career's going nowhere, which is a shame after the excellent win over Lacy

Just another reason Hatton is a joke. He needs some paper title to make the Castillo fight worth something? Nobody is going to give a **** about that title. The fight with Castillo is big even if there are no titles on the line.
If he wants to be considered the true champ at 140, then why not fight Junior Witter since he's the best of the titleholders right now? Urango is by far the worst titleholder and that's why Hatton wants him. It's the typical Hatton cherrypicking easy opponents...Comment

Some of the posters on these boards are hilarious. First off PBF fought a pretty tough guy in Castillo for his debut fight at 135lbs. Secondly people are giving PBF **** then praising Hatton figthing Urango because its a setup for Castillo. Is everyone forgetting that PBF already beat Castillo twice?Comment

the difference is hatton went upto his first weight class won a paper belt , struggled big time and didnt even give collazo a second chance
mayweather was going to his 4th and fightin someone who's style was similiar to zab judah who everyone knew he was gonna fight next

If you want to compare apples to apples, when Floyd moved up a division for the first time he fought the best guy at lightweight, Jose Luis Castillo. He struggled in that fight, like Hatton did with Collazo. Rather than pulling a ***** move and moving back to 130, Floyd immediately rematched Castillo and beat him convincingly. Hatton pulled the ***** move and moved back to 140 after facing maybe the 3rd or 4th best titleholder at welter. Also consider that after that fight, Hatton was saying he was going to give Collazo a rematch but all he's done since is run scared and find more of the soft opponents he's used to like Urango. I'm starting to think that your main problem with Hatton is that he is a white guy from Europe.
Can't you just accept that Hatton is an elite fighter? I don't like Floyd, I think he is a wife beating piece of trash but at least I'm not blinkered by nationalitylike you are and can see why he is very probably the best fighter around at the moment.Comment

It has nothing to do with nationality or race. It has to do with the facts that I've brought up. Hatton has fought one top 5 fighter on his home turf in 40+ fights and you want to call him elite? I guess you consider Carlos Baldomir an elite fighter too since he's done as much as Hatton and Baldomir fought Judah and Gatti on their home turf...Comment
