    Tyson/Ruddock I

    Folks

I'm relatively new to this forum, so if this topic has been covered before then forgive me -

Tyson/Ruddock I - did Richard Steele stop it too early?

I say yes, but having seen Razor's eyes after Tyson ****** him innemurable times, I have reservations...

Give me your thoughts on it, folks...

Id agree, but add Tyson, probably the most devastating finisher ever would have closed the show quick sharp anyway!

I'd say it was a close call because when Tyson hit him with a combo that sent him reeling backwards, one of Ruddock's arms was caught on the ropes & basically holding him up. Chances are Tyson would've finished him because he was hurt really bad but since the Chavez-Taylor fight Steele had a bad rep

              I wouldn't say so.
Steele did Ruddock a favor, because looking at the fight before the stoppage, Tyson hit Ruddock flush with an amazing right to the body/ Left to the head, and then Tyson was pouring it on, he was about to finish the job as you can see, Ruddock was hanging on the ropes with nothing left in him. The only thing we didn't see was a clean knockout, and it makes you think if it was justified in a fight that was already brutal troughout.

Missed seeing the arm getting caught, I'll watch the scrap again. I agree with your schtick about Steele having a bad rep since the Chavez/Taylor fight, though. I posted a thread about that one too, have a look and see what you think...

Good post. Knicksman20s point was valid, as was yours. Have a look at my Chavez/Taylor 1990 thread and see what you think about that one too...
