every body always complains when german and british fighter fight in their own country but nobody complains when the american fighter stay in the u.s too defend their titler
that SUCKS
Im a Calzaghe ball licker and I stll cant disagree with Edison, although I believe Joe would go to Antarctica to fight Hopkins-still he should have come over long ago to show his skills off because he certianly has a ton to show off.

Why can't more fans of a fighter be more realistic like you?!?!
I admit I am a Miranda ball licker (and proud of it ) but damn, I try to be realisitc about things. People like Googler get no respect when they act like such an idiot.
By the way Googer... are you like 14 years old or does everyone from Armenia act like such a punk? For real, I don't know any Armenias other than you and Vanes and you both act like 14 year old punks when people disagree with you!
german fighters love to be protected by hometurf corruption.
UK fighters like to be pampered, padded, and protected.
besides, both german and UK crowds appreciate the sport 1000 times more than america does.
american crowds get around 8,000 to (on very VERY rare occasions) 10,000. UK crowds can easily get from 13,000 to 20,000. and the UK crowds are much much louder, more fanatical, and much more appreciative of the fight.
american crowds just want wars and nothing else, but understandably so. who doesnt love a good ol' fashioned blood brawl?
but as for calzone and abraham: calzone's just a prick who doesnt want to fight anywhere else cuz he and his father/trainer dont want to leave behind that feeling of UK security. and abraham like many other german fighters dont want to leave behind the feeling of german corruption.
but i think abraham one day could come to the US. as for calzone, i seriously doubt it.

Whether its my mother and father, my favorite team or fighter or my country I understand everyone has faults and Im not one that will ignore them, there is nothing wrong with being a critical thinker, I find it it gives much more validity to the arguments I try to make.
Calzaghe will leave for 1 fight and 1 fight only, to believe anything else is just not smart.
Your boy Miranda is not someone anyone wants to fight, he still has some holes in his game (especially against a really seasoned boxer) but to beat him you must be willing to go thru some points in the fight that would classify as HELL. My guess is most fighters look at Edison and say to themselves, "**** that kind of hell"
Boxing needs a pure puncher like Miranda, he is not a Julian Jackson type puncher (who is) but it is about time we got a kid in the middleweight division with some dynamite in his fists, it has been too long!
Hahaha Miranda got screwed from the ass. lol Abraham was the one that screwed him. And you guys have to get a reality check. The future of boxing is in Europe so the American fighters should go to Europe to fight. Stop talking about why boxers have come to the USA. Thats all BS. If Miranda wants Abrahams belt and to get his rep back he should go to Germany to fight! I can name more fights that have been fixed in the USA than in Europe. In fact ill give u a whole list and u still cant get half the amount of fights fixed in Europe.
your a fckg idiot.
yea both sides of the pond have rigged fights.ask augustus. but that doesnt mean you hide out and just fight lackys your entire career like ottke and calzaghe. and calzaghe could make the biggest money fighting here against taylor. i don't know whats wrong with him. he ought to go after taylor right now before taylor aquires more boxing skills( if thats possible for that dimwit).
abrahams ruined he don't count.feel mirandas to dangerous for calzaghe for the money. and taylors made a good career move staying at 160.
why should abraham or calzaghe fight in the u.s they are the champs, and the challenger got to come over too take the titles. american fighter don't comme often to europe to defend thir tirles. and people are getting robed in the u.s too. when german are coming rarely too the U.S . but axel schultz when he came got robbed so was sturm.
Americans always think that they are the middle of the earth
I dunno why I bother to read threads like these. Loads of xenophobic drivel, usually from US posters who can't grasp statements like "the future of boxing is in Europe" even when there's hardly any American belt holders left in the world. Briggs aside (who counts the WBO anyway?) there's not even a single US champion in boxing's premier division but "dey have to come to da states ta fight, dey scared. Calf.aggy wants to hide out in his home town of Ireland in London so Dave Parris can help him win wid da WWF, LMAO, pwn, pwn, pwn! "
I think the funniest thread I ever saw on this subject was "Felix Sturm is too scared to come and fight in the US... he doesn't like fighting in a place where there's no hometown decision." No, he came to the US and did see a hometown decision.
I CAN see both sides, to an extent, but as an English poster having to read the views of people who can hardly write the English language talking a lot of **** and generalisation gets up my ass crack.
Yall are going to have up with something other than the DLH-Sturm fight. That's one fight, and it was at least a close fight tat was scored very closely. **** decisions MUCH worse happen ROUTINELY in Germany, and the refereeing in the DLH-Sturm fight was 10 times better than what we see when a German fighter is challenged by a foreigner. And you brits know this if you say Reid-Ottke. No matter what any example you want to bring up about the U.S., Germany has been much worse, period, end of story.
As far as Europe being the future of boxing, I've already told you why that's not the case. Anyone who thinks it is the future of boxing is just wrong, period, and must be xenophobic themselves if they are so afraid to admit the truth of the matter. Americans have PLENTY of titleholders, and even the ones that are NOT American are mostly fighting HERE.
Therefore, the future of boxing is not 'in Europe'. Thank you and goodnight.
