We talk about nobodies like Margarito all day on here and that doesn't change the fact that the average boxing fan has no idea who he is...

That's because of two things:

1) Margarito is not a 'nobody'. He's been undefeated at 147 for around 8 years and is a crowd-pleasing workhorse. He is top 3 at 147 by RING and that automatically makes him somebody.

2) This is a hardcore boxing fan forum, not an 'average' fan forum. 'Average' fans are a waste of time anyway and do not even know of fighters that most hardcore fans know of (Mosley, Pac, Wright, Hopkins). 'Average' fans get their boxing knowledge from EA Sports Fight Night.

Maybe if you would stop needlessly attacking Margarito, so much time wouldn't be spent talking about him. Ever think of that? Get his name out of your mouth and things will be easier for you. (^_^)

any boxer that ever goes to fight in europe never wins referees and judges will do anything for their fighters to win unless they get knocked out thats my opinion

Is it any wonder that the divisions dominated by Euros are considered some of the weakest in the sport? 140 is garbage since all the good fighters moved up. 175 is garbage that's being run by guys Roy Jones destroyed. HW is a joke...

Don't be silly there smurf boy. Adamek was not anyone special in Roy's time so who cares if they fought or not? Adamek is good but he is not 'running' anything right now. He's one of the best at 175 but no one is dominating that weight class yet.

The quote I originally replied to said that anyone that is spoken of on these forums is automatically popular among all boxing fans. As I pointed out in the case of Margarito, the average fan doesn't know who he is even if we talk about him all day on forums. Thank you for confirming my point.

Adamek hasn't proven he's the best yet at 175. Most of the top guys in that division couldn't even win a round off Roy Jones not too long ago.
