Having read through most of this thread i think that one or two people are wrong to label Kid Achilles a racist. I'm not trying to defend him or indeed imply that he is not a racist as i don't know him personally, but IMO there is no evidence, in his post starting this thread, to give the impression that he is a racist. For instance, how can someone be accused of being racist for not agreeing with the attitudes, images etc of certain black fighters, but actually state that he is a fan of other black fighters?
Not everyone agrees with the way some fighters carry themselves, but that doesn't make them a racist, and my initial thought was that maybe Kid Achilles posted the line 'I'm not a racist but...' because he felt that some may have attempted to label him a racist if he didn't.

Also, on the subject of men hitting women... I can't agree with those who have posted that it isn't always clear what happens behind closed doors etc.
IMO a man should never hit a woman regardless of the circumstances. A man should be a ****in man and walk away, especially a man who earns his living as a professional fighter!

Hitler, a genius? That is a ****** thing to post, and is obviously something that i don't agree with. A genius wouldn't be responsible for what Hitler is responsible for, and Hitler is a man who deserves no admiration, especially when it comes to labelling him a genius! However, having read through a few posts regarding this, Kid Achilles seems to realise that what Hitler was responsible for is terrible in the extreme. Therefore, giving a man like Hitler the accolade of 'Genius' is terribly misguided under any grounds IMO, still, i don't know Kid Achilles personally, so if he claims that he's not racist then i'm not going to label him a racist.

Genius does not mean good or humane. By being a genius I mean he possessed traits that were exceptional and far beyond what a normal person possesses. A normal person is not capable of uniting an entire country and getting it to to participate in genocide. Hitler was evil, a scumbag, but he was a political genius.

I never said I admired Hitler or wanted to be like him, I said that I had respect (which is completely different than liking something) for him as one of the most influential (again, does not mean good) people in the world since 1900. Hitler has had a ****ing enormous impact on the modern world and if you deny that you are just an idiot. Some of you seem to find it impossible to distinguish between humanity and greatness. There were great men who had a lot of good in their heart such as Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr. but there were also great men such as Hitler and Napoleon who caused the death of many many people, were power hungry, and utterly selfish. Hitler was obviously the least humane of these great men in my opinion, but he was still a great historical figure of tremendous influence.

Hitler was not an idiot. He was insane and as close to evil as a human being can be, but he was also a genius. Since when can you not be insane and also be a genius at the same time? There have been plenty of musical, academic, political, and even athletic geniuses who were either scumbags or clearly insane.

Why did a bring Hitler up? As the ultimate example of someone I respect as a historical figure but have no admiration for. It was a comparison to James Toney who's boxing skills I have a great deal of respect for but who's personality irritates me. Obviously I absolutely detest Hitler and his whacked out ideals, but I have respect for him just as anyone on the streets has respect for the most powerful and dangerous gang in their city.

To not have respect for Hitler would mean you do not think he was a consequential figure in history and that what he did was not so bad and not worth talking about.

I'm not going to get into what it says about all the apologists, but if "kid hitler" was saying all that stuff about them, or their loved ones in that backhanded kind of way and adding associated references of (Hitler) and other themes; then they might see more clearly.
