I'm not racist, I just don't like "thug" fighters.

i agree, when this **** hits the fan judah is the kind of guy to hit someone and run, not stomp them into the ground... kinda like carmelo the other night.... none of these guys are as "hard" as they strive to be...
to be fair to these guys, and the main reason i take little offense is because to me it clearly seems as if the attitutdes and arrogance are an act, a creation of the fighter intended to appeal to his main demographic.... and the fact of the matter is that in the USA right now a mojority of boxing fans are black, hispanic etc..... there are plenty of white boxing fans, dont get me wrong, but i think they are in the minority for good.... so i think a lot of these boxers make the conscious decision that they have to do more and more to appeal to the black or hispanic fans... and guys like judah are just too ignorant to realize the impact of the things they say/do and just take it too far a lot of times...
it really goes the same for white fightes but the other way around.... white fighters realize that their main demographic (like it or not) are white fans... and usually middle class ones at that... so look at your white guys say an up and coming heavy like brian minto.... he will go out of his way to portray himself as a blue collar, hard training determined type of fighter.... as do guys like oleg maskaev and wlad klitschko cause they feel that there ultimate appeal is to the everyday working man... their appeal is to people who dont care what they say and who dont care to see them taunt an opponent but want to see them go to work and get the job done...
and im going to say it again....
YOU CANT BE A THUG AND A WORLD CHAMPION BOXER AT THE SAME TIME
seriously do you think judah actually leaves the gym and sells rocks and packs heat while driving through brooklyn looking for someone to rob?? i bet his days are a lot more similar to mine than they are to Tupac'sComment

Zab stands there and does nothing when Roger stepped up, but then when Zab's dad comes, then Zab starts to act tough and swings at Ellerbee.Comment

Zab Judah, Floyd Mayweather, James Toney, Shannon Briggs. The attitude these guys put on just rubs me the wrong way. It's the same way with rap, I enjoy listening to the music, enjoy the beats, but I can't stand the image and lifestyle.
Some of my favorite fighters, Sam Peter, Edison Miranda, Lamon Brewster, Danny Williams, etc are black but I just can't go for the thug thing. It's against almost everything I stand for to be so flashy and materialistic and to condone casual violence with guns.
This does not make me a racist. I just don't like that lifestlye/image.
their adults your adults...your nobody to tell somebody how to live their life..believe me when i tell youComment
