How can you act like a color? Can I act green or orange or purple? so how do you act black? That is the biggest problem out there. Stop "letting" black people have their culture back, cuz its now part of the culture of the world. And if that's how you act then more power to you, whether you're black, white, asian, hispanic, etc. Stop with the color ****. Stop dividing people into races. We're one HUMAN race.

I believe the term "acting Black" does exist and is frequently used.

Zab Judah, Floyd Mayweather, James Toney, Shannon Briggs. The attitude these guys put on just rubs me the wrong way. It's the same way with rap, I enjoy listening to the music, enjoy the beats, but I can't stand the image and lifestyle.

Some of my favorite fighters, Sam Peter, Edison Miranda, Lamon Brewster, Danny Williams, etc are black but I just can't go for the thug thing. It's against almost everything I stand for to be so flashy and materialistic and to condone casual violence with guns.

This does not make me a racist. I just don't like that lifestlye/image.

toney is just a trash talking king. briggs is from brooklyn but mostly trying to make an honest living.

The percentages don't matter, the point is that the ****** culture is not what defines who blacks are so I can say all I want about the culture and I'm not attacking blacks. Hell even Bill Cosby somewhat recently went on a rant about how many blacks in the inner city aren't being good parents, setting good examples, etc. I think almost anyone would agree that if you're pushing drugs and involved in gang violence, you're not a good role model.

Or should we just have no bounadries and say "hey this is 2006, let's be who we want to!"? Shall we glorify gang****ing, drivebys, and gangster life as a whole as an acceptable lifestlye because these people don't see another way out? Why don't we say it's okay for serial killers to do what they do also, since they are in an even worse state (mentally and socially ****ed).

I have a feeling some people here are actually trying to condone gangs and gang violence? Is that right? I hope I'm wrong.

Racism in the 60-70% majority is a much bigger problem than ANYTHING that's happening in in the minority 10% African American population.

Racism is the real issue here, or maybe you haven't read the majority of responses to your post.

We have been given enough caveats, and stereotype-breakers to disprove any myth regarding class or race. It's now the choice of ignorant people to keep perpetuating the myths..

All races are tremendous and should NOT be underestimated..
