Beating women is a bit thuggish

I didn't know that any of those guys beat on women. But it's easy for you to judge when your not in their situation or living with some of those women. I don't know and neither do you know what is going on in their homes. So you should quit being judgmental as if your perfect and do no wrong. We all have our faults and talking trash, being flashy, arrogant, and being a smart ass are not thuggish. None of those guys are thugs. Thugs terrorize their communities and care about no one but themseleves. None of them fit that. If you are the type of person who has problem with their confidence, then maybe it is your own insecurity that causes you to have a problem with them.

i agree with what your sayin except that

thats his own personal choice if he does that. he doesn't drink so just because he is there doesn't mean it's affecting his training. And that is fact it hasn't effect his fight game. As far as I can tell he is still undefeated and dominating much bigger men so it's having no affect on his figth game. And he is grown man who makes his own choices. What is thuggish about going to clubs? You don't like them because of a thug persona, you don;t know what thug is, you have problem with their confidence.

I think Kid Achilles has the wrong perception of what a thug is because none of those fighters are thugs. Some of them might try to project the flashy lifestyle of a rapper but that just goes to show how much of an influence the hip-hop culture has on boxing & some of the younger fighters which isn't a bad thing. Being that it reaches the hip-hop community would hopefully make more boxing fans.

Zab Judah, Floyd Mayweather, James Toney, Shannon Briggs. The attitude these guys put on just rubs me the wrong way. It's the same way with rap, I enjoy listening to the music, enjoy the beats, but I can't stand the image and lifestyle.

Some of my favorite fighters, Sam Peter, Edison Miranda, Lamon Brewster, Danny Williams, etc are black but I just can't go for the thug thing. It's against almost everything I stand for to be so flashy and materialistic and to condone casual violence with guns.

This does not make me a racist. I just don't like that lifestlye/image.
