The ways i think to beat de la hoya that floyd will use are these
The jab- Oscar, in the Mosley fight (both) Let Sugar Shane hit him with short sharp jabs on the way in,mostly in the first fight, in the first fight on average shane hit oscar with 9 punches a round..throwing 31 a round, Floyds jab is alot harder and faster than shane mosley...even a shane mosley of years ago, i think he can use this to his advantage and throw alot more than 31 a round if he wants to control the distance of oscar
The left hook- Although oscars left hooks is not in question, its much harder than floyds without a doubt...floyds left hook is possibly his fastest punch, and he can throw it without the jab, after the jab, after a right hook or right hand he can throw this punch basicly when ever he feels like it, this is the punch that shane also gave oscar trouble with in both fights
Power punches- In oscars fight with Sturm in the 11th rounds he let go of 30 big punches...only landing 11 of them and Sturm isnt exactly the slick mover and defence mastermind that maywerather is, so if oscar comes in tryin to punch floyd out of the ring then we could see him landin less than this...
Fighters- The last BIG fighter than Oscar beat without any trouble and the fighter was at the very top of his game that Floyd is would hav to be
Julio Cesar Chavez II, after that it was fighters like Ike Quartey who was on the slide, then Trinidad who he lost to,shane mosley who he lost to, he beat a very tough Vargas with an amazin KO in the 11th, but even F.Sturm outboxed,outfoxed, and outfought Oscar and Oscar got a gift decision, i think by far floyd could possibly be the best fighter all round p4p De La Hoya will hav ever fought
Oscars Trainer- When Oscar was fightin Sturm WHAT WAS HE TALKIN ABOUT WHEN OSCAR GOT BAC TO THE CORNER i mean really, before the 12 round he was tellin to throw combos like he was doin, oscar wasnt throwin combs in that fight he was lookin for the body and then throwin single punches lol i dont think flody sr can help oscar beat someone who at sometimes looks unbeatable
The fight itself, i never thot id say this about one of my fav fighters of all time(oscar de la hoya) but i think he has basicly a punchers chance(ok a bit more than that)of beatin Floyd, i think Floyd may be like Oscar when he was fightin J.C.C hes the young lion fightin the old lion in one last big fight to see who is the best, but i think he will do wat oscar done to J.C.C and thats cut him up early, hit him with combos and move around the ring nicely and then movin in for the kill once the older man has thrown some powerpunches and possibly lost a bit of his luster
