Ray Leonard told me directly Mayweather said it!

Yesterday afternoon at a gas station in Brentwood, CA; Ray Leonard was standing in front on me buying Vitamin Water and health bars. After praising his greatness and an autograph I asked Ray if Mayweather really said to Ray that he wouldn't be in the top ten if he was fighting today.

Ray shook his head and said what I was thinking:

"..he (Floyd) doesn't know what he's talking about.."

I have to agree. Floyd is tremendous, but Ray would have knocked him out himself. Hagler would have done it faster, and Hearns would have done it undoubtedly. Duran would have given Mayweather nightmares.

Anyone confused about that besides Floyd?..

    Hagler was a MIDDLEWEIGHT.
Floyd started out at 130 and was at his best at 135 and maybe 140.
I dont think Leonard or Hearns would knock Floyd out, Floyd is slick, fast and has great defense.

That's my point. Could Mayweather beat Hagler? Ray did.

People are doubtful PBF can beat De La Hoya.. At jr. MIDDLEWEIGHT.

Floyd is slick, and my heart will be with him when he plays roullete with Oscars left hook. I hope Floyd doesn't get hurt, honestly.

I hope you realize it will only take one. Just one.

Leonard was a natural welterweight moving up to middle.
Floyd is a natural super featherweight fighting at jr middleweight.
The situations are just not comparable.

The discussion with Ray was in terms of quality of opposition.

I agree with the weight disparity you refer to. I concede.

Both men same weight: Ray is better.

Floyd is a genuis. But Margarito is no Hearns. And Floyd embarrasingly avoided Margarito.

Ray fought lanky hearns, and compact basher Hagler. Win, win.

          Floyd: lose, lose.

Floyd is crazy and DISRESPECTFUL to state Leonard's lack of impact in any era.

          I mean, come on..

mayweather wants to scream to anyone that'll listen that he can beat them but as soon as boxing fans show other wise that he cant ...he dosnt lose ground because he can always send out his collective band of fan boys to point out that little floyd mayweather couldnt possibley fight at that weight

well you little fan boys need to either find a new undeafeated hero or tell your boy that he needs to stop hollaring that hes the greatest and could beat anybody

yeah, yeah, yeah. so you claim people are doubtful that floyd can beat oscar. hello, wake up. it is not the first time people have doubted floyd, but for some strange reason, i don't know, maybe it's just me, but for some reason, floyd always ends up the victor. he always wins. hmmm. sounds to me that well, all of the doubters have been proven wrong. we'll just have to wait and see them get proved wrong again come may 5th, because i posted it before and i will right now, floyd is going to destroy oscar de la hoya. just watch. and when it does happen, i don't see any posts with excuses for oscar, because just like with baldomir and gatti, i read so many excuses that i almost started to copy and paste them and send them off to baldomir and gatti themselves so they could read them and come on tv and publicy announce to the world that boxing forums are filled with a bunch of contradicting people who wouldn't know boxing if they were born inside a joe frazier gym and got their umbilical cord cut by ali while ray leonard filmed it. now, maybe i'm getting a little ahead of myself, but doesn't matter, come may 5th 2007, the boxing world from the critcs to the fans to oscar himself with floyd mayweather sr. will see a brilliant masterpiece of a performance from floyd maweater jr. i'm telling you right now internet junkiesm floyd is going to destroy oscar de la hoya, and when it happen i am going to laugh in a very valitile way ay every one of you who downtype floyd. so get ready now. pbftxrs316 signing off.
