Barrera's Time is Running Out

I agree with both of you guys. Golden Boy did the right thing to get everything they could out of Barrera and even helped the guy's career out a bunch (the third win over Morales and the two over Juarez will probably remain standout wins for a long time), but I don't approve of Barrera acting like he wants the fight when he doesn't, calling Pacquiao out whenever Pac is caught up in some obligation or already signed to fight someone. And I really don't want to see Barrera trying to dismiss Pacquiao if he loses like when Pac lost to Morales and Barrera was like, "well, fight with Pacquiao is off now, whew!"

yeah right.... the timing is perfect.... Pac's in a middle of a legal mess and Barrera's not getting any younger... makes perfect sense

Barrera is a coward plain and simple. If he came back to beat Pacquiao, then I could have nothing but respect for him. But he's just like the Klitschko's, never wanting to redeem losses, and that is simply pathetic. You got guys like Miguel Cotto knocking dudes out just because they beat him in the amateurs (Abdullaev and Pinto), who never even officially beat Cotto for crying out loud. Not in anything that really matters. It's all about your professional career and Barrera's will always have that huge red blip where Pacquiao annihilated him and he did nothing about it but make excuses until retirement. Barrera has been waiting for Pacquiao to get beat and disappear for over three years now. Grow a pair.

You call him a coward but you won't step in the ring with him. It is funny that this man has given us so many exciting fights and you have the nerve to disrespect him. How about appreciating his talent and being grateful for all his great performances.

I don't like Castillo, Barrera, Marquez or Margarito, so if that makes me a Mexican hater, then yeah I'm a Mexican hater. I've always been a Morales fan, but lost a lot of respect for him when he refused to give Pac credit after the 2nd fight.

Did anybody else notice the poll on the page where the article is, "Which fight do you want to see in 2007?" I was shocked that the MAB/Pac rematch was no.1, i would have figured DLH/PBF would be no. 1, i also thought that more people wanted to see Pac fight JMM more then Barrera. The MAB/Pac fight is the one I voted for, even thought the DLH/Mayweather fight is a close second.
