I still can't stop laughing at how many Yankee Doodles suddenly want to see Joe Blow take on Kessler... he's the sort of guy Joe Blow's been spitting out his entire career, but then they were all "euro bums". Now the Blow's been arrested for **** (of Lacy) all of a sudden one of those "Euro bums" is a fight we all want to see.

You actually are Palle aren't you. It all makes sense now. Oh, and the first sentence is very very wrong - unfortunately for Kessler.

The Brummie is spot on - it's just a touch ironic that Kessler is exactly the sort of meat Calzaghe has beaten up over the last decade and has been derided for it. Make your minds up eh!

Kessler needs to fight Andrade finally before demanding this fight.

jangeorg--Taylor didn't say he is absolutely staying at middleweight, he just said it's not a problem for him to make that weight. On HBO Merchant said it would be a one-shot deal at 168 for Taylor, then he'd come back to 160, so we could still get Calzaghe-Taylor next summer, and then Kessler and Winky could get their fights against those guys afterward.

That's what he's done so far, Calzaghe's been out of his own country more so than Kessler, and Calzaghe is known outside of Britain now, otherwise Kesslers fanclub wouldn't be talking about him, would you?
It's an age thing... JC should have been a superstar by now.

Kessler only have 4 championship fights (his last 4 fights).

                  Manny Siaca (WBA Champ)
Antony Mundine (Ex-WBA champ) His first defence, and he takes it in Aus!
                  Eric Lucas (Ex-WBC champ)
                  Markus Beyer (WBC Champ)

Lets have a look at how Calzaghe started out. (and this is a good JC period)

                  Chris Eubank (Ex-WBO Champ)
                  Branko Sobot
                  Juan Carlos Gimenez Ferreyra
                  Robin Reid (Ex-WBC Champ)

All in his backyard... (England/wales who gives? - if your fans can go by car...)

I don't think Kessler cares that much about JC as a name anymore, he just wants his belt. Since Kessler had a hard time getting opponents, he just aims at unifying the belts, and beating as many top ranked as possible. Then fame follow if it does. If you read the fronpage of his website, this is his own statement.

Peter Manfredo... It must be fun to be a Calzaghe fan.

I'm looking at Kessler's list of oppenents there (and that's the cream of it) and thinking ... who? The latter two could most kindly be described as past it and the other two were never in it.

Was Mundine really a WBA champ? Blimey, they'll give that belt to anyone eh.
