Go back and read your last mma topic, fool. I believe you were given a warning that that was supposed to be your last mma topic in the boxing section, or 1. it will be deleted, and/or 2. you'll be banned from this section. Since you went ahead and did it anyway, I hope you get banned from this section. You're a supposed "boxing fan" who has to defend his interest after almost literally every post. There's something wrong with that. Just to refresh your memory.... and don't pretend like you didn't see it, being in your own topic and all.thats why they are implementing open scoring...so the guy who is losing in teh fight will go for a knockout...they believe it will bring more excitement to the fight.
but as you could see kassim ouma didnt even try to throw punches when he heard he was losing after the 8th round.
so i dont think open scoring will work...therefore boxing is dying slowly.
the only exciting guy you got is an unknown guy named manny pacquiao no one knows him besides boxing fans.
and the last draw is oscar dela hoya and once he is gone whats gonna happen?

but this article are from boxing scribes so i dont see the point...and they deal with why boxing seems to be in a slump...what can boxing do to get out of it?
This had to do with BOXING!Last edited by hectari; 12-11-2006, 08:53 PM.Comment

Who cares... with all the extremely promising rising talent in the sport... its hard to see boxing going anywhere soon
If anything, it would RISE in popularity.
their are VERY popular boxing video games... Their arent any popular UFC video games. All these things are slowly bringing life back into the sport.
DLH will pass the torch to mayweather in May, and then MAYWEATHER will be an awsome draw for the sport.
And since UFC is relatively new, Most fans watch the fights alone for the most part. Most of their friends dont know about it yet, or dont like it yet. But boxing ppv's are watching by Dozens on the same TV set. Not just 300,000 people watched Pac Morales, more like 700,000 or probably much more more.
Who cares where UFC is or how its doing, i dont like it. I dont follow it. ANd i certainly dont watch it. So why would i care at all??Last edited by Kball15; 12-11-2006, 09:11 PM.Comment

We can ignore it because every boxing fan has his/her own opinion. My opinion:I love it how 2 posters ignored the article when it was written by a BOXING FAN who even starts out saying call me old fashioned and he doesnt really care for MMA!
read the article its a good informative article...guys stop being in denial we need to do something about this! its because boxing is dying fast.
notice it before its too late! and dont attack me im just bringing the warning and news...i am a BOXING fan dont be ignorant and think im against boxing just because i see the truth.
I love boxing and am not the least bit interested in MMA. And I know there are others out there like me and there always will be. Boxing will only die if interest in the sport dies. And a long, historied sport like boxing with such an amazing and colorful past, will never die out. Agree with me if you want, but to me, boxing is a far nobler sport than any other out there. It's a skill. A science, even. And one to be mastered only after long years of study and dedication.
My interest in boxing will never wane. And I know that there are many, many others out there like me who feel the same way. And as long as there are, Boxing will never die.Comment

Girl with a short attention span. If she likes brawls so much tell her to take up bikini mud wrestling.
I'd rather watch 2 guys who actually know how to fight than watch 2 Butterbeans rolling around on the floor humping each other to death.Comment
