Nigel Benn's victory over Barkley makes Duran's win look like dookie.

        So your point is?

I don't give a **** about the second fight. Duran got lucky in the first scrap due to some dodgy scoring.

Duran walked into the boxing ring in the first fight a warrior, then told Leonard to **** off half an hour later because he didn't have the balls to carry on...

Aside from this, Duran fought no-one credible at the time he was supposed to have been 'great'...and those he did fight that were good, beat him.

the dodgy scoring is entirely in your head. just look at leonard's face when the fight was over.

I'll take your point as a mark of respect, but you gotta agree Duran was so overrated. I haven't seen him fight anyone good (other than Leonard) and win. All his fights were against over the hill losers, or losers...

Well the better question is who didn't Duran fight between 135-160? Duran fought the very best of his generation and many of them when he was past his prime and at 3-4 divisions up from where he started and STILL won or gave a good account of himself.

Duran is one of the most under-rated boxers in history. Watch him fight and you'll see that he used a lot more boxing skills that people might think. His defense and combinations were things of beauty. Duran was a smart fighter and worked his way in smartly not just rush in like a Hatton or Ouma did last night.

Duran also had tremendous punching power and I dont think we'll see anyone move up that much weight and still carry as much power as Duran did.

BTW Duran beat Estaban Dejesus twice and Ken Bucanana which might be his best lighter weight opponents.

Davey Moore was a bum from the Bronx, Ken Buchanan was a nobody from Edinburgh who fought no-one. Palomino fought no-one other than Duran.
