Everything Ali said in the press was to hype the fight. He was not really like that you should know this. I read a biography of **** Shcaap, who was a great friend of Ali's from his Olympic days and he describes Ali as a very nice person. When he dodged the draft he did what a lot of people were scared to do and he spent time in jail for it.

what would you call it? my uncle did two tours in nam, you think he wanted to? hell no, but guess what? he did what he had to do. people in this country want all the benefits but none of the sacrifice, the USA wouldn't be what it is without the real men who were willing and able to fight for it. enough said

im sick of ali, Joe Frazier is an example of a real man. he came from ****, and was always humble, ali's bull**** caused much heartache to the frazier family , from joe to his kids, they all suffered because of ali's so called self promotion. the real hero and man is joe frazier. they had one fight when the they were in they were both in their primes, and smokin joe defeated ali. ali hurt more people than he ever helped. dispute that!!!

                  again

ali would have had to fight exhibitions.

and yes you are right, a few ppl who never saw a battlefield, except in "the guns of navarone" would me much less wealthy without the "real men".

I am pretty sure Ali never set foot in jail
