I thought Ouma did very well. A lot better then i expected.
Now imagine a guy with much faster hands, arguable the fastest in the sport.
A guy with more accurate punches.
A guy with more powerful punches.
And a guy that is basically Taylors size.
And as an added bonus, a guy that is very difficult to grab hold of and is very slippery.
I see taylor out working Calzaghe early on, But as the fight goes on, Taylor becomes exhausted from attempted clinches and missed power shots.
I'd put a large bet on Calzaghe to beat Taylor convincingly, and i plan on doing so if i go to a casino during the time period of that fight (if it goes down)
i'll bet my house that u have only see joe fight lacy and already making a judgement on who he will beat from that 1 performance he gave.ahahaComment

Sorry, but your wrong:
Hopkins never moved up, why?
Hopkins wanted 50%, yeah, sure he deserves that?
{Roy also beat Hopkins with one hand, so that should tell you something}
DM out-priced himself as well, and didn't want to fight in the United States...I can't remember how much DM wanted, maybe 8+ million, not sure.
If Calzaghe was serious about fighting Roy all he had to do was move up a division, and try to get the fight...it wouldn't have hurt to fight in the States to make a name...Woods fought Jones, but not Joe, why?Last edited by Abe Attell; 12-10-2006, 01:38 AM.Comment

Woods was (I'm pretty sure) the mandatory for Roy's title, & a natural Light Heavy
- still green at that point in his career & don't think he'd fought another world class opponent, but he was an up & coming fighter looking for his first title shot.
Calzaghe was a champion at a lower weight class, who'd never fought at Light Heavy.Comment
