      how is that winning??
Well because he beat him the first 4 rounds as well. The only effective punches Taylor landed were rabbit punches. Do you seriously debate that those decisions were political? Do you honestly believe Hopkins deserved to have his incredible reign ended and his championship taken based on those fights? It was all about new blood and marketing a new guy to tyake over since Bhop was retiring publicly. You cant market a guy like Taylor if he loses to Hopkins and wins a vacant title later. It was all about money and rich peoples paychecks. What happened in the ring was Hopkins did a classic matador schooling of a young wild swinging bull that did not win a single round definitively, where as Hopkins clearly won several rounds.

Taylor is a classic guy, he fought Hopkins twice (dominated him both times), fought Winky (fight was close could of been a draw) than offered a rematch and now is fighting Ouma, hes making the fights happen. I think hes the next star in boxing...

Yes he is the next star in boxing...but only because the powers that be have elected him to be based on age and above average skill. He will now be the benefit of countless split decisions, KO's over big names from smaller weight classes, HBO hype out the ying yang, and financed media coverage. As long as there are consumers like you who buy into the hype, it will continue to be this way and blue collar guys like Wright and Hopkiuns will always be ther victim of injustice.

You are worse for boxing than any fighter or promoter.

LOL, Jermain Taylor owned Hopkins, he won 9 out of 12 rounds, noway Hopkins beat him. You are just angry because he beat him, and since your such a fan of those "blue collar" clowns who've jumped ship to boxings 2nd most corrupted protomer at the moment, I don't see where your anger is for DLH who basicly became a 20 any divsion all time great with dlipt descions, kos from smaller fighters with big names, and HBO hype that lead him to his own tv show on HBO, his own gay music cd, 20 million a fight plus interest, and promotion company. Hes hurting the blue collar, Taylor is just a good skilled fighter, fighting his way to the top. Hes not being protected, groomed, hes fighting the best.

Hopkins and Winky are both extremely difficult opponents. Any fighter will look bad fighting them. Taylor doesn't back down to any fight....Ouma will be a breath of fresh air for him.

It doesnt surprise me at all that you're a De La Hoya hater. The guy fought EVERY and I mean EVERY legitimate threat...and beat them all including Mosley and Trinidad. The only exception is Hopkins who started as a Lt Heavy when Oscar started as a S Feather and was Middleweight Champ when Oscar was Super Feather champ. You're just mad because your old lady wants him and you had to buy his CD for your sister. Stop the madness son, The only thing Taylor "owned" for 9 rounds was a milk dud in his underwear between rounds 3-12 when he realized Hopkins wasnt going to lay down for him and he knew the judges would be getting a big percentage of his check.

I like all 3 fighters being discussed here.I really think many of the early rounds in Taylor/Hopkins I could have gone either way, neither man did alot of anything. However Hopkins nearly stopped him with his brutal assault in the last 3or 4 rounds and should have been given the nod in that fight or at least a draw to retain his titles. The second Hopkins fight was even ****tier but I think Jermain did enough to pull it out in that one especially since he was "the champ" going in to the fight. The fight with Winky Wright was a very good one in which both men had there moments but you can see by watching it over a few times that Winky controlled the tempo and landed many more shots than Taylor. Also alot of Taylors "huge rights" as Lampleys dumb ass would call them did not land flush or sometimes even at all, simply put Winky outclassed and out hustled the younger man and should have been the winner by a round or two.I also crack up when people say Wright gave away the 12th round, thats bull**** he won that round to and simply out boxed him and was not as aggressive as he had been most of the fight, that is not grounds for losing the round especially when Taylor did'nt do **** either.Anyway Taylor is going to be a force for many years to come and look forward to watching him but he quite frankly in my opinion is 1-1-1 in his past 3 fights to be as fair as I can.

fought EVERY and I mean EVERY legitimate threat, right after Trinidad murdered them in the ring or fought them two/three years in advance, poor Parnell kept getting the short end, and he was blue collar. See right there, Oscar started at Super Featherweight and ended up at middle, talk about KO'ing smaller guys LOL, his weight issuses weren't even serious until than, at Lightmiddle he was ok.
