I understand what you are saying and I agree. But De La Hoya's punches will not be landing and thats for sure. Floyd is faster and smarter in the ring.

And DLH is a ******?? DLH is also pretty smart when it comes to the science...has no problem adjusting either, like Floyd.

the Only Way This Fight Could Be Great....
Both Oscar And Mayweather Are In Their Primes
        At 147 (welterweight)
Oscar Is Not Proven At 154
        He Is Past His Prime
        He Is Old
        He Is A Fat 154
Floyd At 154 Remains To Be Seen

So let me guess. Everyone who is picking Oscar should read this thread because it's going to change their mind? Hey? Buddy?

Oscar looked in good shape in his last fight, it was just at 160 that he didn't look tight.

But yeah, at 147 when Oscar faced Shane, that would be something...I would of also like to see Floyd vs Shane....or even Tito or Forrest vs. Shane.

If Floyd fought everybody in their primes, and beat them, yeah, then he could put himself up there with Robinson, but no matter what, he can't, even if he beats Oscar.

I read some of you posting that if Floyd wins hell be going down in history as blablabla. De La Hoya is just fighting for the money now as we all know and isn't going to be properly trained for this fight.

Note: I am neither a huge De La Hoya fan nor a Mayweather fan. Although I would prefer De La Hoya to win, I will be putting all my money on Mayweather.

If Floyd wants to go down in history as one of the best p4p, he should beat Hatton, Margarito, and Cotto, and then beat a middleweight champ. Until then he will not be in the ranks of Sugar Ray Leonard, etc.

              dude wake up !
Oscar is bigger , stronger , has a granite chin and more experienced when it comes to championship fights. Oscar's size and power will decide this fight.

No I just wanted to figure out why Oscar was being hyped and being compared to Floyd at this point of time. Leave the past behind. At this point of time De La Hoya is not anywhere close to Mayweather.

Floyd doesnt stand a chance, maybe a slim one but Oscar should win this one.

everyone is entitled to their opinion but I honestly find it hard to believe people are counting DLH as an underdog in this fight. The way I see it is the only way pbf wins this fight is if he can pick his spots to win rounds and basically get on his bike once he builds a lead. He tries to stand and fight with DLH he will get caught and hurt and that will change the fight decisively. If PBF can stand and fight with DLH and win he makes a big statement towards his place in history.

On the point of Oscar bein affected by ring rust or that he wont train hard or correctly,,,, that's Bull****! Its obvious he wants to win and it aint about the money.
