If DLH is soooo powerful in boxing 'politics', how come he couldn't get earned decisions vs Tito and Mosley, which the majority of the boxing world felt he won?Comment

I dont think that would be so, remember the hopkins before the Trinidad fight? not many people liked himComment

Never really been PBF fan anyway...............On the other hand DLh has been one of my favorite fighters for many moons........so I will be rooting for DLH without question and I think he is going to KO Floyd too for the record.Comment

Who will you root for... Mayweather / De La Hoya
Never like De La Hoya, I feel he made his money beating up on smaller opponents...
...Come fight night Mayweather will show all you haters why he is the next best thing to Ali...!!!Comment

I honestly really like both fighters. I must root for PBF in this one however. I enjoy his style more. I think it is fantastic to watch a man be able to land at will and barely be hit himself. I admitt, I will be disappointed for DHL if he looses since I am sure he plans to go out on top with a victory over PBF. It is such a hard choice because I like them both. That is why I have been looking forward to this fight so much.
I don't really think that everyone that chooses to root for DHL is just a PBF hater. That makes no sense since DHL has been around longer and is one of the most loved in the sport. Of course some people are just haters, but that is how it always is.
So...do you guys want your choice to win because you like them, or because you dislike the other guy that much?
i don't care about his outside life. i don't root for that. i root for the fighter in the ring, not the fighter who hits his wife which if you ask me is irrelevant when it comes to boxing. the man's no angel but who are we to judge him for his outside ventures. he's not my role model outside the ring, but he is my favorite fighter inside the ring, because of his personality in the ring. i never heard him claim to be a role model, but i do understand that kids want to be like him, so i do understand the criticism he recieves for his actions knwoing that children look up to him, but nonetheless, it's still outside business. he's not perfect, by no means. he can be an *******. he is ****y(of course for good reason), he has disrespected legendary fighters. all of this has nothing to do with how he fights. i actually like to see him fight more when he is hated, because he feed of it and performs through it well. i don't care who boos or cheers him, when he fights, i know he focuses on the person in front of him. that's the only thing that matters. yes, he has said things to commentators and his opponents's trainers and has made faces at his opponent, but even doing all this, he is focused on the task at hand. and the fact thta he can fight well in the face adversity says a lot about his character as a fighter.
all of this is why i cheer for floyd mayweather jr, and i like i've said in the past and will say in the future as will floyd, he will defeat oscar de la hoya come may 5, 2007. there's no other way to look at it.Comment

The thing I don't get is that DLH is an ******* himself. Behind the scenes, DLH and PBF are one and the same...Comment

Look at Mayweather's resume, then look at Ali's, it doesn't compare...and don't give me some arguement that Ali had losses and Mayweather doesn't because Ali after his exile wasn't the same fighter, which makes it all the better in how he was able to win.Comment
