He does indeed need a fight after this layoff, but I do think he gets a 'free fight with Wlad' card. He owns a TKO victory over the current man, so he has earned it.
Lamon Brewster: "Klitschko Let's Do It!"

Not only is Brewster probably not ready for Wlad, I dont think he deserves a shot right now coming off the loss.
He should try and land a fight with Brock or Chagaev.Comment

Brewster-Brock or Chagaev would be good matches....hell, I'd love to see Brewster-Ruiz; but that's just becaue I'd love to see Jawnny stretched.Comment

Whoever it is, I hope the Liakhovich fight woke him up. I knew he was going to have trouble when he weighed in at 232; that's too big for him....and told me he was taking the fight lightly.
If Lamon gets in his hungry mode, in the best possible shape he can get into.....and gets rid of Buddy McGirt, he's still in it.Comment

The thing that bothers me about Brewster is this bull**** about a secret technique for absorbing punches that hurts his opponent. He should have described the Wlad fight thusly:
"He was really handing it to me, and all of a sudden I opened my eyes and it was like my face had kicked his ass for five rounds. He was passing out apparently from the damage my face was doing to him, so I touched him and the ref called it."
Instead he made it sound like he knew all along what he was doing. He deserves credit for outlasting Wlad in that wierd fight, but he doesn't need to make it sound like he had a mysterious trick.Comment

lol!!! Yeah; but that's just head games for future opponents IMO.Comment

I'd love to see a Wald-Brewster rematch but I think it would be a one sided beating in favor of Wlad. I'm not saying that there was definitely some monkey business at work in their first fight but I will say this: I don't see the same result happening again.
I'm not sure if Brewster should get an automatic "fight with Wlad" card. He lost to Sergei and has been inactive for awhile. Also for his own good he should get a tuneup. Sultan would be good, though I think Ibragimov would actually have a good chance of beating him. Peter would be too dangerous IMO.
Calvin Brock would be perfect. Both guys coming off a lose. Brewster should fight Brock.Comment

.....Brewster is seriously risking his health and his vision for the rest of his life if he gets in the ring with Wlad at this point. He needs to prove that his eye can take it on a far lesser opponent before getting hit in it with 200 stiff jabs. I would love to see Wlad beat the crap out of him but not at the expense of his long term health.Comment
