Did Foreman let Morrison off the hook?

I saw this fight recently and it just seemed like Foreman could have KOd Tommy at a couple different moments and did not. At the post fight interview he seemed to say he wanted to let Tommy go 12 and that he thought he had the decision.

Any other evidence that might suggest he kind of let Tommy off the hook?

But damn, Morrison was very impressive with his handspeed and power. Foreman ate his shots like gravy though. I think today, that version of Morrison would be champ pretty solidly.

The crop of heavyweights in the early 90s was quite good. Too bad even more of them didn't find each other. Holyfield-Morrison would have been a site to see, as well as Holy vs Lewis in Holyfield's prime circa 91-94.

naa morrison kept away very well it was so unexpected for foreman not only was morrison backing up but he was thrwoing powershots at the same time!

i've said it before; if morrison used that technique against everyone he would have been far better

Nah, Foreman was just too slow. Morrison was a damn good mix of speed and power.

As for what Foreman said after the fight, well, Foreman says a lot of things. I take about 10% (at most) of what he says seriously.

looked like foreman was sleepwalking through that fight. not sure if he was afraid of getting countered by morrison or that he just liked him too much to hurt him. only he knows the answer

naa,,he tried that technique with lewis and got taken apart. he was a good fighter with very good power but just not enough stamina or boxing ability to beat the elite fighters of his era

I doubt Foreman was scared but maybe he was just too slow at that age? But really, it is possible he was takin it easy on Tommy. I think.

I'm interested to hear who yall think would win...1974 Foreman vs 1991 Morrison?

Noway did Foreman let Morrison do his thing. Morrison fought the perfect strategy against Foreman, which is to counterattack and not stand there and fight his fight. Prime Foreman would have killed Morrison though...
