I think that British fighters are good on their circuit, but legitimate world class fighters with crossover skills are few and far between. Fighting at 2 AM in Manchester when you're the challenger makes things alot more easier.

First off, Americans don't even watch tv, so I don't get it. It just seems an abberration to boxing tradition, fighting at 2 AM? That's not normal, if they wanted to synchronize with prime time, fight in Madison Square Garden. I understand that Ricky Hatton and Calzaghe are big draws, but if they only fight in England, I can't see how the playing fields are evened with regards to environment. I wouldn't go to a Bedford Stuyvesant basketball court to fight Jaidon Codrington, I sure as hell wouldn't go to Manchester to fight a guy I can't get a decision against.
