I agree, Cotto is a BEAST at 147.

He can take Floyd, Margarito, Hatton, and the rest of em.

I don't think there will be a unified title for a while, due to politics in boxing and the big word DUCKING, but of the current crop i'd say either Cotto or Williams has the best shot at it in the future.

u know whats funny, after seeing cotto obliterate carlos and others, i think his style and his body attack will beat floyd and KO, HOWEVER i truly think margarito is too tough and hits to hard for cotto and could possible KO cotto if he isnt carfull, that being said floyd bends AM over a chair and makes him his *****

Id go with Cotto asuming Mayweather retires or stays at light middle. I think PBF beats him but the gap is narrowing each fight!

It's between Mosley and Cotto if Mosley fights at 147. Those are the only two in that division with a chance to unify.

You know, what irratates me is with all of this "Mayweather is p4p the greatest" crap, no one even thinks about how good the welterweight division is right now. In the early '80's we had Leonard, Hearns, Benitez, Duran, Palomino, and Cuevas...and that's pretty stacked. Then, in the late '90's we had De La Hoya, Trinidad, Quartey, Whitaker, Carr, and Mosley...not too shabby. Right now, we've got Mayweather, Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Williams, Judah, Collazo, Quintana, Baldomir, & Clottey....no, not superb; but you got to admit if they fought each other we could have some pretty good match-ups, yet, the champ, Mayweather is chasing after a multi-milliondollar payday with a promoter who used to be a pretty good fighter.

If only Mayweather wanted to prove he was the best Welterweight in the world and write his name in the history books the way the all-time greats did....but no, these days it's about money and screw history. "I'm great because I say I am". Damn shame really, 'cause the fights are right there.

now we got a big cotto bandwagon

                    quintana is no maywether

maywether is the best boxer 154 and under
                    noone can beat him

im a big fan of cotto and love watching him
fight. he has power good footwork and is real
paitient. his skills are on par as well
but he is a basic flat foot fighter.

as much as i like cotto i have to stay real
and be real. cotto will and cannot beat
floyd. as much as you guys hate mayweather
he is the best and non of these guys can geat
                    him.
