I think Torres and Quintanna are both pretty good fighters. I picked Carlos to beat Cotto. Therefore, Cotto must be given credit for being the excellent fighter that he is.

The same goes for Margarito because Clottey is underated and Margarito has beaten everyone he has faced at 147 for about 8 years I believe.

I'm not a boxer, of course Margarito would kick my ass. How deep did you have to reach into your ******* to pull that one out? The people he's "destroyed" amount to nothing, argue that. I dare you.

Margarito's style is not his advantage, it's his size. He has no style, he just crowds you and uses his size to his advantage. In the ring against any skilled boxer he would eat leather all night long. Let alone the greatest boxer of the last 10 years.

i done told all of you that cotto is the real deal and he'd look much more fluid at 147. clottey held his own and was a warrior to fight with and injured left...his main weapon. basically anybody trying to discredit any of these dues needs to shut the **** up.

        cotto/mayweather 2007.

Cotto looked very strong, and that's coming after Quintana looked to be using his size and akwardness to create problems early.

It was in theory a bad style for Cotto in his 1st fight at Welter, and he blew right through that akwardness and scored a strong stoppage.

Margarito imo was lucky Clottey hurt his hand. It looked like he had some answers for Margarito's stance and style but that was all for not in losing his left hand, which is his best punch.

Credit to Margarito for seizing the opportunity. The Willams fight should have no trouble getting made now.

Good night of fights on Showtime.

Tony was lucky indeed. Clottey would have easily decision him if he hasn't hurt his hand.

How the hell do you get into the top 5 in a division without beating a top 5 fighter? Margarito has been feeding off the bottom 10 at welterweight at best. Clottey was a continuation of that trend...

Clottey a bottom 10 welterweight? Do you realize how ridiculous you just sounded there?

I think that Margarito was lucky as well. Clottey's double left hook is a major weapon and he clearly didn't want to use the left in the next couple of rounds after the injury occurred. A couple of those rounds contained great action however.

Cotto's future at 147 is looking great. Quintana (as you mentioned) presented a lot of problems for Cotto on paper and it did translate to the fight for awhile...until Miguel figured him out. The movement, height and reach was something I was worried about, as Miguel was vulnerable to being hit on his way in. He actually did a great job of catching punches on his gloves though. He has to be the most heavy handed fighter in the sport. Dude beats the fight out of his opponents.

The RING magazine had him ranked 10 and the WBO had him ranked 6. He is not a top 5 fighter and he was still ****ing Margarito's **** up...

Right, 6th, and 10th in the world depending on who you ask. Legitimate contender either way. A far cry from the member of the bottom 10 in the division you just described him as. In that case he would be a tomato can with a losing record.

I said he's just another lower top 10 welterweight and those rankings by RING and the WBO back up that statement. Are you that desperate to hype up Margarito that you are trying to build up Clottey as the best welterweight in the world? What a joke...
