Lacy isn't the fighter he used to be, in the first 2 rounds he was showing signs of a good fighter, he kept clocking Tsypko with that straight right hand.. but after that it went to shambles, he stopped throwing the left to set up his right.. he just looked like a shadow of his former self.

Now, if that shoulder injury was legit, then I'll eat my words.. and blame it on that, I don't know how a fighter can go from dominating the first 2 rounds, and then get clearly beaten after that.

....Maybe Birmingham isn't the right trainer for Lacy. I had the feeling that Lacy was on the verge of getting KO'd near the end of that fight. I wouldn't say his shot either but he definitely needs to refine his game.

He looked sorry. It was almost a Calzaghe repeat. He really has problems with taller fighters that know how to use their reach.

How did you feel about my uncle's reffing of the fight?

Was he the ref for the Winky fight? If he was to be honest the ref did a horrible job in that fight and called to wrong KDs but if it was for the Lacy fight he did a fine job...........I remember you saying he reffed another fight I had watched and I thought he did a great job that time.......I know it is a tough job so don't be pissed if it was him who reffed the Winky fight he just had a bad night if it was.

I don't think Lacy is shot, but I do think that he has some problems to correct. Firstly, there are the mental issues to overcome after suffering such a one-sided defeat in a big fight. Secondly, he needs to diversify his skill set and learn to adapt better DURING fights. As someone mentioned above, I see a lot of Jermain Taylor in him in that he has a lot of natural ability (in this case great power) and relies on that skill TOO much. Just like JT relied on the 1-2 too much. I give Lacy a pass for this fight becuase it was the first fight back, the long lay off, the possible injury, and I heard his training camp was a mess. Nonetheless, he should really try to work on better boxing skills and defense.
