At boxrec.com they have Barrera losing to Jr. Jones by DQ, yet if my memory serves correct, after Barrera got floored, then got back up, he was getting hammered until he dropped grabbing Jones' leg. Then Barrera's corner jumped in to like save Barrera and the fight was stopped. How was that a DQ?
Was Barrera TKOed or DQed against Jr. Jones?

becasue the corner wasnt suppose to climb in the ring so the ref DQed him.At boxrec.com they have Barrera losing to Jr. Jones by DQ, yet if my memory serves correct, after Barrera got floored, then got back up, he was getting hammered until he dropped grabbing Jones' leg. They had a refferee that was unexperianced at this high level and didn't know what he was doing after the bell rang then Barreras corner came inside the ring. While Jones was already celebrating and the ref didn't know what to do so instead of sending each fighter back to his corner, the ref called the fight.Comment

Yep. Just like the ref, who refed Barrera against Juarez and the ref for Jaca-JMMThey had a refferee that was unexperianced at this high level and didn't know what he was doing after the bell rang then Barreras corner came inside the ring. The tape on Barreras glove shouldn't have been allowed. Nope, I haven't seen that fight but there was a huge gif going around some time back showing Barrera on the ropes being pumpled than he drops, his corner comes in and throws a bottle at Jones as he jumps on the ropes for victory.Comment

this always puzzled me because I'm pretty sure Barrera's people came in after the bell.
but I think I get it. you can't be saved by the bell so...either Barrera's corner men are just complete idiots or they knew Barrera didn't want to go on and saved him by getting him DQ'ed (able to argue for a rematch later)Comment
