Forgive my ignorance, but when one says King has options, exactly what does that mean??

Essentially it means that King would have the option to or right to exercise the option to promote future fights. For example, Valuev and his promoters gave King the options to promote Valuev's next six fights to get a shot at Ruiz's WBA title.

Which was ****** on Valuev's promoters part because Valuev was already the number one contender for Ruiz's belt after he beat Larry Donald so Ruiz would have no choice but to face Valuev. Then again we are talking about the WBA and don king. Both these ****ers have a history of crooked ****.

The sooner we have a unified or partially unified heavyweight champ the sooner we can have heavyweight "super fights" and the money that comes along with them.

Actually that is only partly true. The really big money fights only come when there is a big draw in the ring like Mike Tyson or Mohammad Ali. In all other cases the promoters, sanctioning bodies etc make more money.
