I was thinking the same thing, he promised his mom the Tarver fight was the last, ahahaha

But everybody knew that B-Hop would come back again.

For me, that's some good news, like or not, he's one of the best fighter ever.

The guy who said Hopkins chin had not be tested and the other who said he's boring and only throw one or two punches per round are real ****ing idiot.

THERE IS DIFFERENT STYLE IN BOXING

There's no BEST style. Margarito is really good in his style and I appreciate that. But guys like Pbf and Hopkins are really amazing, if you think that's boring, I repeat you probably don't like boxing but slugfest...

He promised her he wouldn't fight past 40 I believe(he broke that).

I think he should stay retired or find another way to get back in the ring, be a trainer or something. Help out in the corner. He went out on top and I think he should keep it that way.

Hopkins VS Calzaghe is a natural, & hopefully the fight that will happen
        - when Hopkins retired initially that was the one that I regretted wouldn't happen.
Stylewise I think it is a great matchup - both are smart fighters that use lots of angles, with Calzaghe the more open & messier fighter, but also the much busier. Should be a great bout.

Think Hopkins can still beat the majority of fighters around & pickup a version of LH crown, but think he should be a little wary of Adamek & Briggs - he's got the skills & experience to beat them but both are hungry, dangerous fighters & Hopkins would have to pull out a top performance.

promises are made to be broken i guess...........

i wish Hopkins the best, he's my favorite fighter, so i'm backing him a 100%, although i would prefer that he stayed retired, just for the fact that it's too damn cliche' now a days to come out of retirement.

I was one of very few people familar with him. I saw him on a few Tyson undercards, I was sent a few of his fights from a friend Stateside, and I was a fan of his. IMO his peak performances were against Joe Lipsey and Glen Johnson - high outout, sharp output, accurate output, he was relentless and barely missed one punch. I started a thread on him on an internet message board in the late 90's and didn't get one reply.
Thank God somebody agrees with me...Hopkins isn't nearly the same fighter he used to be...I can't stand people who say he is still in his prime or hasn't declined that much simply because he is winning. If you go back and watch the old Hopkins fights, the guy doesn't bore you like he does now.

Oscar was tagging his ass in their fight...that **** would of never happened.

So just because he beats a deflated Tarver, who if you want to talk about "what goes around comes around" referring to his "No excuses Roy Jones Jr. about muscle weight loss", this is it.

Robert Allen even said that Bernard was slipping and that his power wasn't nearly the same.

              Bernard looks stiff.

The Taylor that "Won" the fights against Hopkins was pretty impressive, throwing huge combinations and landing on the chin at times.

Albeit he avoids punches from other big punchers...........he's been tagged. All he does is smile when someone lands flush man.

That's the sign that someone has a rock hard chin. Ala Hagler, Toney, etc.
Bernard has a great chin, agree...The Mercado fight, I think they said Bernard was having trouble breathing from the conditions of where the fight was.
