Pinoys should enjoy pacman and his prime while they can

There will come a time that we all know happens. Alot of pinoy fans started following boxing when pacman's emergence came about after the barrera fight, and there is nothing wrong with that.

But with the flux of threads talking about "the great mexican hope" and "why cant mexican legends beat pacman"

There will come a time when a fighter will be out of his prime. Often times the signs wont be there, while someone is winning, KOing people left and right, we all hardly ever see it coming. But sometime..and in my gut i feel like it will be soon, at some point pacman will come out just like Morales did,...tired, older (fight wise) and look like he wont be all there. Some hungry young fighter will do to pacman just as he had done to barrera and morales.

You should enjoy your gloating/laughing now while you can, because as a die hard Tyson/Roy Jones fan, i will tell you right now, its one of the worst feelings in the world when it happens because you want to bieleve so bad it will never happen and your guy is the best, and with a guy like pac, a defeat in brutal fashion doesnt just damage him, but an entire country, and you had better be ready for the backlash on all your favorite internet stops when it happens. Because it happens to everyone, and you had better hope you have another boxing prospect to look at, because all this poking fun at mexicans is funny and all, but you better remember the playing field is tilted again once pacman retires, or he meets his match.

With pacs style, i just only see him going for so long until it all comes crashing down.

Truth is that I've been following boxing alot longer than Pacquiao's international presence and the idea that Pinoys are going to fade from interest in the sport is just absurd. I laughed really hard when people said that A) Pacquiao was going to lose and his loss would chase me from this site and B) That if Pacquiao lost, all my interest would cede from the sport.

It's all ignorance I tell ya.

i have been a follower of boxing before pac too. i grew up around stories of older pinoy boxers from my uncle a boxing addict if i may say. unfotunately he has cancer right now and we might not be able to trade stories ina few months. i love the sport.

Who said pinoys are going to fade? How many pacs are there going to be? How many roy jones' are there? how many tysons? Thats my point. it all ends eventually. There will never be another of any of those guys i listed, which is really what alot of my point is. Eventually it all ends, and be ready when it comes.

Im implying this obviously NOT to regulars of the sport. Im saying i hope everyone looks to their prospects afterwards and dont just abandon the sport when pac leaves it.

There have been many posters here who have implied that Filipinos will turn on the sport after Pac slows down. I certainly feel priveledged to have been around to witness Pacquiao, and I think that his presence has incited the kind of rennaisance in the sport to Pinoys that there will be more Filipino fighters emerging onto the global circuit.

you don't get it. all these gloating from the pinoys are just retaliation over the years here in BS against pac haters who even today, still can't give credit where it's due, or just plain show respect. morales did, and pinoys salute him for that, but some of the ****** ****s here are just plain hatin'

i can think of a total of 2 or 3 people from the mexican side who constantly perpetuate hate on this site, and about 10 from the pinoy side.

but thats hardly the point of my post or even signifigant in the scheme of what im saying.
