[QUOTE=tito yuca;1933853]It's not comparable in my opinion because before the fight Erik seemed tired and nervous, like he really didn't want to fight. He looked ****ty. I knew he wasn't gonna win it, but when I saw him leave the dressing room I knew it would end early.

HEARNS look nervous too... check their fight again.I did...

There was this story I 've read (i remember it is from BS) that HEARNS lost because there was this damn fool who massaged his feet before the fight, so much so that at the fight itself, Hearns has no feet and is like plodding a running river. Its so awful that as early as ROUND 2, his feet were already gone. (Physically handicapped... well what do u know.SOUNDS familiar...) Take note of that when you see again the fight.

the fight was exciting...but I don't think that 20 years from now, people will look back and think those were the most exciting and contested 3 rounds of all time

but that does not take away from the fact that it capped of a brilliant trilogy

I don't think any fight is gonna come close to the Hagler/Hearns deal. Pac/Erik fight had a feel out session, whereas Hagler/Hearns just started dropping bombs right away.

No comparison whatsoever. Hagler-Hearns was a spontaneous street fight between two skilled fighters who decided to slug it out to the end. They were the number one and number 2 pound for pound at the time and both men were hurt in their. That fight was a head on collision, whereas the fight we saw Saturday was more of a one car wreck, a drunk driver crashing into a tree.

Pacquiao just happened to run through Morales, it wasn't for a moment competitive. Maybe in the first, but that was it.

Morales was not Hearns on Sat. Morales was pushing his punches and had no snap on them. Even when he was throwing a lot of punches, you could see there was nothing there. He was simply at the wrong weight. You can do that to your body for a long time, but it will eventually catch up to you. It caught up to Morales about 2-3 fights ago.

Oh, and the punches that Hagler took from Hearns would have crippled most fighters.

It was as competitive as the Hearns/Hagler debacle. Its a give and take fight...Only that in the case of the Pac/ Morales III, Morales wasn't KTFO like what happened to HEARNS. It was as much thrilling, full of drama and BRUTALITY...Boxing at its best...Immediately after the fight, I don't know why this question prop up to my mind...I told myself the minute I went online Im going to ask the BS people about it. So here I am....

Your comments will be higly appreciated. Tnx in advance.
Honestly, no. Pac-Morales III was more akin to Zale-Graziano III than it was to Hagler-Hearns. I've seen nothing that even remotely approaches the blind fury of the first round of their clash in 1985. It was faster, fiercer, and punches were thrown with more bad intentions than in the fight we saw over the weekend.

                Not really comparable IMHO.
