Pac/Terible III VERSUS Hearns/Hagler

It's not comparable in my opinion because before the fight Erik seemed tired and nervous, like he really didn't want to fight. He looked ****ty. I knew he wasn't gonna win it, but when I saw him leave the dressing room I knew it would end early.

Hagler-Hearns was totally different, hell, Tommy won the first round and cut Hagler. Erik never did that much damage to Manny in their fight. And also, you could tell that Erik was just past his prime and had been in too many battles, which means it's time for him to retire. Tommy wasn't nearly as past his prime as Erik was.

No, not even close to be honest. I didnt even think those 3 rounds were that exciting. It was mostly onesided.

I thought it wasn't one sided....Morales connected more punches than Pac did when they were brawling. It's just that Pac chin held and Morales' didn't...probably from the stronger punches he made.

Morales' punches were all arm punches. There was a point where it reminded me of a girl fight. Im not trying to mock him or anything, its just what I saw.

The fighters are not on the level of Hearns and Hagler, and the action was not as intense or competitive.
Not comparable.

thats what i thought too

but to compare to the hearns and hagler bout, the PAC-EM 3 is just second best, IMHO

Then it's probably not crazy to compare the number 1 and number 2.

I would have to agree on this one...Pac took some nice clean shots from Eric...If you remember Pac was on the back pedal before he landed that beautiful left hook in the 2nd...One sided for me is when the fighter is being dragged by his opponent all over the ring without getting so much opposition from to the aggressor (e.q. BARERRA-PAC, FLOYD vs. GATTI)...or when there is a clear cut and obvious victor even prior to the annoucement of the decision.(WINKY vs. TITO).

I believe it is not the case in this one for although PAC made it look like a destruction towards the end,it was well after ERIC gave him some beautiful punches of his own.I think its the ability of ERIC to absorb the punches of PAC that made the difference.

As for the comparison of this fight with that of HEARNS/ HAGLER, I guess its true. HEARNS and HAGLER are bigger personalities. BUT will it be the same 10-20 yrs after PAC and MORALES retires?.Legend such as HAGLER/HEARNS are deified only after we look back at their accomplishments and unforgettable ring wars.I guess it shall be the same with the EM and PAC.
