Pac with Arum & vs Valero!!!!!!

I dont know if this has been talked about on here but did you guys hear that Arum stole Pac from Oscar? I knew he was up to something because he gave a interview on BT a week before the fight and the guy asked Arum about Pac signing with Oscar and Arum said something slick like Pac may not sign with Oscar and sure enough now he is with Top Rank. Chop that one up to Arum who got a big one against his boy Oscar.

I was reading a article today on another site where Arum said that he wants to have a "Macau Madness" fight where he wants Pac to make his 1st defense in March against Valero. Its the perfect place since Valero cant fight in the US. You talking about a big time fight? Peep This:

But Arum, who has struck the latest salvo in boxing's cold war, is proceeding with his business. He plans on having some 'Macau Madness' in March by having Pacquiao make his next defense in that exotic setting versus, "The kid from Venezuela who can't fight here in the United States. How's that for a little present?"

Yes, Arum would be referring to none other than internet cult legend, Edwin Valero, who captured the WBA 130-pound belt over the summer. It's a risky fight, a high-risk proposition for a fighter whose stock has never been higher. But how refreshing is it to not hear, 'Well, who's he? Nobody knows him. He's not a ticket seller.' This is a fighter who takes on all-comers. And one who can actually sell tickets and entertain the paying public.

Although pac did not confirm it in a TV interview this morning, it seems like pac is arum now. He was also asked if he wanted to fight valero but simply said that edwin is a good fighter with 20 KO's and that he will surely fight him in the future. When asked about his impending rematch with barrera, he said nothing is final yet negotiation is still going on. Reading between lines, does it mean that arum and hoya are negotiating with each other?

Hell No there not in negotiations. Oscar is pissed that Arum stole Pac from him and they said that there going to court over it because they have a signed contract with Pac. Also Oscar said that he wouldnt ever do any business with Arum again so you know that there not negotiating anything when you think about those 2 things

Last I heard, Wynn-Macau won't be opening until Middle of next year. It's said to be a five billion dollar project.

MGM Macau, said to be smaller, is reportedly slated to open about March.

I dunno, but if Valero is up next, will it be for Valero's WBA world title? If so, it would not be a defense for Pac (WBC International). Pac will be a challenger. Another thing, Oscar's father used to be among Valero's managers before Valero's US License was revoked.

Pac has been declared, in effect , Barrera's mandatory. That came about as a result of WBC's pre-fight announcement that the winner of Erik-Pac 3 will be considered so. What happens to that?

Barrera has reportedly reserved a fight date in Vegas in March.

Pac is now the mandatory challenger for barrera's title. Everything seems so smooth since the news of pac signing with GBP until arum came into the picture and ruin everything.

Some of these things don't seem to add up, pal. I cannot understand why Arum would be talking of a defense for Pac when he hints on Valero. Will Valero blithely abdicate his world title to challenge for an "International" crown? I can't make sense with that.

Better is the possibility that Pac will be challenging Valero. If that is so, then thinking of the fight as a Wynn-Macau (or, MGM-Macau) inaugural event is fine, even though China has no big record when it comes to boxing fandom.

I also don't know that there's a significant Filipino expat community in Macau or places nearby. The Filipino community in the US is a big chunk of the Pacquiao fan base. I'm not sure that there can be one in China.

Valero has been fighting for years now in Japan and consequently has built up quite a following there. May be the Japanese market can be eyed for an event in Macau.

Arum is a slick manipulator. If ever pac'valero push through then it would surely be for valero's title because pac's title belong to the trash can lol. I don't think there are that many pinoys in china compared to their number in the states. At any rate a pac-valero fight in china would be awesome. Sheer numbers of chinese alone guarantees to fill the venue to the rafters and I'm sure arum can work out the marketing of the PPV. You are correct japanese fight fans are moneyed and can go to china in their 2 days salary so what you said is a possibility. Reminds me of valero's manager who gives him an incentive of is it 1 million yen if he knocks his opponent out in the first round.
