I agree with your opinion of the boxing scene in Australia, however we still produce world class fighters and the occasional world champ even though boxing is a minor sport with no free to air tv coverage. There are good trainers in Australia who do well with a small number of boxers competing. Rushton has tried to reinvent boxing with his own style and training methods and rather large ego, it has had limited success with Jeff Horn but has been found wanting due to the lack of basics regarding balance, defense and ring IQ. I feel his time in the spotlight has come to an end with Jeff getting a boxing lesson from Michael Zerafa.

Jeff Horn vs Michael Zerafas fight

Well said "beewood"
Jeff Horn is a limited fighter, but he didn't have the right management either.
I did see the fight at a casino, but had a few drinks so have tried everywhere to watch it again.
Im Australian (Brisbane) but would never bet on Horn or rate him unfortunately.
He has about $6m in earnings I believe so with a poor defence hopefully he is smart enough to take the $$$ and run fast,

Horn had just the right style to beat Packy but once that style and it's limitations became known it was only a matter of time before someone worked it out, first Crawford then Zerafa. It wasn't rocket science. All I can say is that Zerafa better go on with it and win some against world class fighters.
I think that it's a great pity for Australian boxing that Horn did not get the right training and coaching, he is tough and courageous and never gives up and that's basically what got him as far as he did. Does Zerafa have those qualities?

Zerafas not that great either....just would like to see the fight out of interest.
Not a Horn fan at all...but still want to watch.
Seems to be getting harder to watch fights online from Oz than say five years ago.

I'm not sure if his style was ingrained in him or the claimed changes were just press...but he wasn't going to be a hard problem to solve.

Glen Rushton = not a world class trainer imo (even by Australia's standards).
Horn should exit boxing now before he ends up like Jeff 'Hitman' Harding.
