Didja by chance watch the fight live? If so, and if you don't mind my asking, from what part of the planet Earth did you watch from?

really? Well, one of the reasons I was asking is that it sounds like you did from that post. If you'd gotten to see the whole fight I'd have been interested in your appraisal of it, as Ive not really caught up with a person who has seen the whole fight, outside of posted articles. And then, had you said "I saw it in Australia" I would've asked who it was broadcasted by as that aspect of the fight world is something Im interested in But hey.
          \Best wishes.

Edit: I re read my post and I see where maybe it reads as though I am saying "where on earth did you see that" as in maybe i was ridiculing you? If so, I apologize, that wasn't at all what i meant.

Yeah Mario, I get so many crap messages about Horn that, you know.

A friend of mine had a ring side seat to the fight so I've basically repeated what he said plus my own comments and observations. The other point is that Horn was very slow but that sort of thing is just a continuation of the Crawford on debacle, basically his camp are a bunch of f**k wits as far as managing, training and coaching to a world standard. His win over Packy has just been wasted as far as launching an international career goes.

yeah, I've seen a few folks posting here and there on, i think it's this forum, who claim to be from Australia (Im certain they are, not meant to sound like I think it's dubious) saying that the VAST VAST majority of boxing trainers and training ideas in Australia are pretty much the equivalent of being in the stone age when compared with what is being created/discovered and, for the moment at least, implemented successfully in the sport in other countries. and I did read an article the other day, post Horn's attempted middleweight jump debacle, where Fenech is really giving it to Rushton. I was looking up various sports pages from Oz newspapers earlier in the week to see what the feelings are amongst the Australian boxing people and press regarding the awful stoppage, to see if Rushton's done interviews yet, and if they've decided to can him yet as an article here earlier this wk stated the rumor mill had it that Team/Family Horn were plenty upset with a few different things that Rushton has done, stuff he didn't do, and then some of his comments, which read to me as though he was throwing his fighter under the bus completely. Really crap behavior basically, semi Abel Sanchez-ish earlier this yr when he came out swinging on GGG when they opted to go on without him. I just find this whole show incredibly entertaining

You are pretty well on top of it then, Rushton has apologised for not stopping the fight earlier but crocodile tears from him I think. The basic problem in Australia is boxing is small time compared with the main sports so there is not the sponsorship available to make it truly professional.
