  • Carl Frampton vs. Chris Avalos

Alright so, it is official Carl "The Jackal" Frampton will defend his
IBF World Super Bantamweight crown against Chris "The Hitman"
Avalos at the event titled 'The World Is Not Enough' that title is
from a James Bond 007 movie. I got a chance to watch the new
press conference and Carl Frampton's camp seem to think the he
will just "walk through" Chris Avalos on his way to victory. I don't
I personally disagree I think they might be overlooking Chris Avalos
just a tad bit there. If go back and have a chance to watch Avalos
vs. Yasutaka Ishimoto this past May from Macao, China that was a
great win for Chris Avalos he dominated Yasutaka Ishimoto winning
and that performance showed why his nickname is the "The Hitman"
Yasutaka Ishimoto previously defeated Wilfredo Vasquez Jr a former
WBO Super Bantamweight Champion Ishimoto was a world class pro
boxer. I too was very disappointed at how the Hugo Cazares fight it
was stopped kind of prematurely I think that fight could of definitely
gone on a lot longer than what it did. In essence Chris Avalos he's a
very "live dog" in this fight there is no way he is going to win a close
decision in Belfast, Northern Ireland he has to be thinking K.O. That's
going to be a very interesting fight and has all the makings for a early
FOTY candidate in 2015. I can't wait for the date February 28, 2015.

Very tough fight for Framps. Arguably his toughest yet.

      I got Framps 116-112 UD.

You got to keep in mind that Chris Avalos two losses were
both controversial the first loss to Chris Martin not the guy
the Coldplay front man was controversial Chris Martin was
12 lbs overweight so essentially it was like a Bantamweight
fighting a Featherweight also, the loss to Jonathan Romero
it was also, controversial very close fight, they were saying
that G.S.P. paid off the judges to give Jonathan Romero the
win in that fight. Chris "The Hitman" Avalos is very underrated
he's a very talented fighter and he's got a chance. I must say
I am a fan of both fighters so, I'm looking forward to this fight
Carl Frampton isn't Bernard Dunne he's a lot tougher, stronger
the fight is a toss up can go either way. Carl Frampton is the
Conor McGregor in boxing in Ireland on the world boxing stage.

          Fixed it for you.

I don't give Avalos much chance of beating Frampton. Frampton is the real deal. I'm taking Frampton on points. There won't be any need for a robbery here.

That's your opinion. I personally disagree. I think Chris Avalos
a has decent chance to win. He was Guillermo Rigondeaux #1
contender to the WBA Super Bantamweight Championship. He
instead elected to pursue a more lucrative fight with Fampton
in Ireland. Nobody gave George Groves a chance to beat Carl
Froch in the UK last year and Groves ended up surprising a lot
of the boxing critics with his performance before the fight was
stopped controversially by Howard Foster. I'm not saying that
history will repeat itself Chris Avlaos is a very live dog this is a
opportunity at world title and he's going to fight like theres no
tomorrow and make the best out of his world title opportunity.

I will say it again! The Quigg fight is what should be taking place! The best should fight the best, Barry has plenty to say about his fight but he knows the score Quigg is to much for Frampton

You are right there should a WBA/IBF Super Bantamweight
Championship unification match between Carl Frampton vs.
Scott Quigg sometime next year. I was very disappointed to
hear after Quigg won one of his match the question was also
asked to him if he would be willing to fight Carl Framption and
I remember them saying no, that they made an offer to Carl's
promoter and they rejected the proposed offer and that they
were moving on. That's not good to hear. Eddie Hearn is one
of the best promoters in the UK with Match Room Sport. They
need try to renegotiate a fair offer with Carl Frampton if that
happens on that yes, I would say that Carl Frampton wins on
points or perhaps a late round stoppage in an exciting match.
Carl Frampton does have a much better resume he's defeated
former world champions Koki Martinez (twice), Hugo Cazares
and Steve Molitor so, that's definitely a super fight that has
to happen sometime in the near future because us the boxing
fans are going to demand to see one undisputed champion.

Risky, low reward fight for Frampton. He will get very little credit here but this Avalos kid is better than people may realise.
Its easy to scan through and say he ain't fought anyone but hes been in with Romero, Drian Fransisco, Ishimoto, they're not bad fighters.

He is pretty raw and reckless at times, pulls straight back, gets a bit wild does a lot of unconventional things but hes a fighter like (bad example) Froch in the sense he does a lot of things wrong but its hard to take advantage of them.
I think that sometimes what you see as weaknesses can be a fighters strength.
His crudeness works in his favour.
Its those crude punches he throws in exchanges that you have to watch out for. He does have good power and he seems to have a very sturdy chin and good tank on him.

Frampton points but he has to box smart and not underestimate this kid.
