You could argue that Lacy is overrated and that he can be outboxed by a veteran fighter. But overrated power? Thats just ****** talk. Lacy went 12 with Sheika but few have lately otherwise soI think Joe's only chance is if Lacy gets into deeper waters of the championship rounds and has sort of punched himself into exhaustion. Could happen but I doubt it. I got a 7th round TKO

if Calzaghe fights on the inside with Lacy, he doesn't have a prayer. If he's serious on taking him "Punch for Punch", Lacy is the better fighter in that scenario.

Originally posted by RiverCityMikeOn the inside of haymakers is good as opposed to outside on the end of 'em. Jeff can't throw short, compact shots, Calzaghe might actually do good there. And I expect him to exploit this but he will also use his legs to get in there tricking Lacy into using all those "for show" muscles, wearing the big guy out. Lacy looks like that guy from that Dreamcast game. He's a bum.
Have not you seen his uppercuts and short hooks inside? That's actually what he does the most damage with.

Calzaghe has the skills and power to test Lacy. If Lacy isn't the real deal he'll be beat. If Lacy is the real deal then the fight will be explosive.

Lacy KO within 3 if Calzaghe fights him blow for blow.
I still say Calzaghe pulls out anyhow. He'll get a hang nail.

Anyone else notice how swollen Lacy's eye was after the Pemberton fight? Take into account that Pemberton hardly hit Lacy with his best, and that fight lasted no time at all. Also consider that Joe is just as tall as Scott with a hard left hand and that he's a southpaw. I think Joe has a much better chance than many are willing to admit.

Four years ago, Calzaghe would of landed two or three punches on the inside before Lacy would even have time to get set to load up his haymakers.. it would of been a mismatch. But Calzaghe has looked a shadow of his former self in his last three fights, and Lacy will knock him out or stop him - inside three rounds.
