After Hayes devastating 45 second knockout of Alex Gurov to win te cruiserweight european title he started talking about a move to heavyweight. What do u think of his prospects as an H/W? I think personally he's already got the cruiserweight division by the throat, easily the most talented fighter in the division, but how would he measure up as an H/W

Originally posted by Ranger2408it wasnt his chin, he just took thompson too lightly and fell in love with his own power and gassed himself out in 4 rounds, prior to that he had thompson all over the place.
Yep, it was more to do with his poor conditioning those days and his desire to KO Thompson.
It was probably the best thing ever to happen to him.
He needs to fight for a Cruiser title and put on a good show before he moves up!

I think he is definately for real. I've said before that I believe he is far too strong for the vast majority of cruisers and I truly believe he can be a massive success at heavy.....As long, of course as he doesn't defeat himself first (by his well documented lack of commitment to training etc.)
Imagine what he would have done to Audley and probably Danny Williams last weekend...?
He looks to me as if he is now taking his training seriously and I think he is THE one to watch in this country. As for his power, it really is awesome, I know-I've felt it!
