    Dirrell on Groves:

Groves has great talent, excellent ring generalship and he’s very determined. I wish him all the best. Good power, ok speed. Not enough head movement, but it will come in time.

Anyways look at the way Dirrel is fighting.. not like he normally does..in the pocket basically toying with him because he knows nothing good is coming back he obviously got careless he is leagues better than groves

Dirrel was doing an excellent job of copying degales style actually .. stalking him down

Yes, a 30 second clip can account for weeks of sparring between the two.

Ok D-mize I could be wrong... do you think he has the ability to beat Andre Dirrel?I like George and I'm from the Uk aswell I just see an obvious gap in talent between the two

I'd say Dirrell is more talented, faster, stronger, better offence & defence. There is definitely a difference between the two.

However, one is a 28-year old with a 21 fight record and an Olympic bronze medal. Where as Groves is 24 and 15 fights deep. Dirrell didn't toy with Groves, he spoke well of him and the experience did wonders for ' The Saint '.

I think he'll be a world champion at some point and a good world champion at that. Is he our next Hatton, Lewis etc? No. Groves' downfall will be his style and porous defence but he'll provide loads of entertainment and do us proud.

True he will be very entertaining... how do you see Groves against Abraham going though? I don't think he could last 12 against Abraham but thats just me

It's a dangerous fight but with the Dark Lord in his corner, the perfect gameplan will be laid down - it's whether or not Groves can stick to it. He's been down before but I cannot remember in which fight and how the knock down happened but Sierra hurt him with body punches on Saturday.

When Abraham goes defensive, he poses no offensive threat and Groves needs to keep him on the back foot for the majority of the fight. Groves has a good jab and would need to work it well with unpredictable right hands behind it. He counters well with the overhand right, but may be a dangerous decision as he'll leave himself open if it doesn't connect.

I think Groves can outbox Abraham and win on a wide points decision as long as he remains concentrated and doesn't take too many chances - his jab alone will win him the fight.

Spectacular stoppage. Good movement shows angles and when he connects he can do damage. Very good prospect.

Dirrell is arguably the most talented boxer in the division. Only Ward is close in my humble opinion. But talent doesn't always equate to victory in the ring.

Add to the fact that Dirrell was coming off the bouts with Froch & Abraham while Groves (if I'm right about the time of the sparring) was just turned 22 and had had only 12 bouts means you can't read too much into things from a short clip filmed by whomever.

18 months down the line & Groves is stronger, hopefully smarter & definitely more experienced while Andres has had five minutes in the ring in 30 months & his physical issues. I'd still have Andre favourite if they met this year but not by a whole lot, and would definitely not make a decision based on this short video.

Would love to see Dirrell in the ring 3/4 times in the next 12 months.
