What are peoples thoughts on the Corley stoppage? I thought McCloskey was about to be taken out, Corley was landing some good shots and McCloskey was very badly hurt, imo. However, the ref should not have jumped in just then, McCloskey deserved a chance to try to hold on... although I don't feel he would have.

Imo McCloskey was seconds away from getting brutally knocked out so good stoppage.

Good stoppage! Paul was about to be brutally KO'D!! He was out of it.

More evidence jim watt needs to retire or be sacked he consistently calls fights wrong. He's frustrating.

Agreed, big time. I mean, I thought he was a little quick to jump in at first. But after seeing the slow mo replay and how McCloskeys legs reacted... yeah, he was gone.

I liked that McGuigan called Watt out on their criticisms of the stoppage after the fight though, saying it was obvious that Paul was out of it He couldn't get out of the way of that right hook from the very start of the fight...

I believed he'd learn to avoid the right hand as the fight went on but obv not. Problem with mccloskey is he's not active enough to win rounds because he throws 1/2 shots max at a time. And he's not powerful enough to KO people he won't get far even when he loads up it has no power

              Yeah, dudes weird as hell.

He fights as if he's got a massive punch, but doesn't, and seems to think he's got slick defensive moves... which he doesn't

McCloskey has taken alot of hits v Prescott and now Corley.

He should retire as hes starting to get really hurt.

McCloskey has no defence. Most of the time his hands are at his side and his reflexes -if that's his defence- are very poor. Corley was hitting him at will. The only way is down for him. Very overrated.
