I don't think so - I mean clearly the legs of a 34 year old aren't the legs of a 24 year old anymore... but this is by design IMO...

I mean against Mosley and Ortiz he could close the distance if he wanted with no problem (IMO against Mosley he did it even easier then Pacquiao did) and landed shots on both almost at will which suggests to me that he is still to fast with his feet for his opponents to catch...

With Roy for example it is not that he lost so much handspeed - of course he doesn't have the handspeed from 10 years ago but he is still faster then almost everyone - the difference is only besides his reflexes that his feet aren't as fast anymore - usually he could jump in and was so fast that his opponent couldn't react - Mayweather whenever he closed to Mosley or Ortiz they couldn't counterpunch him... so his feet are still there...

Many don't realise but the feet are the most important to a boxer - many things it is handspeed but handspeed doesn't help you anything if you ain't got footspeed (like Berto for example) - the greats had great feet like Ali, Robinson, Leonard... even in football the footwork is so underrated - the great QB's had so great and nimble feet - Marino, Elway and and and... footwork creates the biggest advantages and can really help you out of trouble... I think Floyd still has his though

I think he has taken on board the criticisim that his fights arent that exciting, and wants to show people how good he can be by being aggressive.

I think its great to see this Floyd. he looks very strong.

Im sure he would use his legs more against Pac tho.
And yet he still gets criticized, strangely enough...

I don't think Mayweather was a runner, though. He's always been perceived like that by casual fans because he falls into the category of the boxer. The only recent fight I can think of where he was constantly on the backfoot was Baldomir where he was potshotting Baldomir to death and Hatton (where he was hauling ass in reverse and STILL got the job done). Otherwise, I'm pretty sure most of Floyd's fights he doesn't exactly look like he's retreating like he has in the fights I mentioned. As to why anyone would say he's a runner is beyond me...

As far has Floyd being physically not what he used to be, i think he is still athletically fit to box.

Whether he fights in the pocket or whether he boxes or whatever, the way he fights is a result of his incredible boxing IQ, not whether or not he has is legs still.

And plus he'd be able to fight inside with Pacquiao all day. Just watch Mayweather's fights. Forearm/elbow into the neck and ****ing the body. I ain't NEVER seen Pacquiao fight on the inside or clinch

freddy roach said this over a year ago. he believes floyd lost his legs and using his legs would of been his best chance to beat pacquiao.

he said if he cant hit and run, he's gonna lose.
