  • Has Floyd Lost His Legs

The last two fights I havent notice that bounce he usually displayed out his career, is he, at this point relying on hand speed? Or is it just toe to toe action?

He wants to fight,he is making statements now,he knows he can beat anyone to the punch and his feints are so good he can get away with staying still

I thought the other night that it was still there, but that he was intentionally engaging Ortiz more and choosing not to use it for this particular opponent.

Well he is getting on a bit at 34 and he has been a pro since he was 19 so mabey he is? I tend to think that he COULD still use them effectively if he wanted to but has slightly changed his style up late in his career as many great fighters do. Either that or he is just trying to entertain more / prove a point.

I guess he expends less energy by not dancing round the ring, as he gets older he'll want to conserve energy for the later rounds. Can he still move like he use to? can any 34 yr old in any sport where you use your legs to compete? doubtful.

Agreed, those skills are still there to be used, but they are probably on borrowed time and reserved for an opponent where he expects a much tougher time (in terms of having to outbox them).

Theres no signs that his legs are not as good as they used to be.
I think he has taken on board the criticisim that his fights arent that exciting, and wants to show people how good he can be by being aggressive.

I think its great to see this Floyd. he looks very strong.

Im sure he would use his legs more against Pac tho.
