Mitchell, I've been a fan of and still am, but he's in a limbo between British/Euro level and world-class and I'm beginning to think his mental game will keep him stuck at Def Con 5 as far as his readiness to do battle with any of the best 10 fighters at the weight is concerned (excepting Murray, who's Ring rating is nonsense).
Kevin always seemed like a mentally tough cookie to me, so he's appeared more fallible over the last 18 months than I originally perceived him to be in that regard. I sympathise with him to a degree, but a lot of guys have to prepare and perform in this sport with all manner of pressure upon them, so I can't give him too much of a pass.

Jokes aside, I won't resent him the win if he gets it, because he works hard, but he just doesn't excite me.

As for Mitchell, his problems are all outside of the ring. If he could/would take himself away from all his issues and dedicate himself to the sport then he could well still go a long way. However we've yet to see since his lose to Katsidis so loses can change fighters. I like Mitchell though and always have.
I may be more North than anyone on this forum but I'll be rooting for the little fellow from the Dagenham for sure. (even though being a Scot I naturally don't have much empathy for the S/E of England lol)

Who did he fight in his last fight? The 'heres johnny' posters were he fought in London? Anyway he was fecking reeking in that fight and that was were he was meant to announce himself on the scene. I just don't see it.
I mean, if he at least practiced a more intelligent version of the style, but was limited by any combination of variables, I'd be more intrigued by Murray.
If both guys are prepared, I don't see Murray having any advantage in the matchup except natural size, and Kevin has more than enough ability to overcome that. I think he hits harder, too.

Mitchell in any form beats Murray, imo.
He's better.
He should never have lost to Katsidis either. The bloke needs a kick up the arse.
