But although Sky are making some sort of an effort, what are the BBC or ITV doing? ITV has just pulled out of the rights for showing boxing, and although Sky or ESPN will get them, it's not good enough for terrestrial viewers or thos without Sky. So what I say is let's get a list of people on here who want this to happen, and email it to the BBC, ITV and SKY if we get say 100 or more names.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

I'm in, we need established members from here. This is now the biggest and best boxing community in the world so they need to take note. A dedicated boxing channel for £5 a month that guarantees all fights no matter how small would be great. Put my name up.

Conversely, I'd love to see more British domestic level fights as well as up and comers in action before they get to the states.

Since Boxing is so international, perhaps there could be an internet boxing stream where you could purchase live fights from places like Asia as well.

Good luck with your petition. It definitely doesn't hurt to try.

the only asian fighter that needs to be shown around the world is Poonsawat!(he would kill pacquaio at 122)

Do ESPN actualy show many fights at all? I was thinking about getting it on freeview but i have looked through there schedule and they dont seem to have many fights if any. If they up there game and pick up a lot of fights i would get it but its not worth it at the moment and i dont like UFC.

Essentially fights that come on cable and TV are trechnically streamed. The digibox just acts as the computer accepting the data transmission. With broadband at the speed it is now, i dont see why we cant have a service where we can purchase fights and watch them on the computer at say, 'youtube HD/HQ quality'

only bummer is they would charge for the service AND fights. But yes good idea!

ESPN2 does show many with Friday Night Fights.

The season is over so that's why you haven't seen them lately.

JANUARY 8TH it starts up again.

Only ten so far, we need at least 80 more to even be considered, but I don't think that many come on this forum itself, most just on Non Stop Boxing. Those who have posted but not lent your support, it is worth an effort, even if it amounts to nothing!

I'm in as well. I feel a dedicated channel is what's needed. It's outrageous that boxing struggles to get enough airtime these days despite it's popularity and tradition in the UK.
