  • Petition for more boxing from the States on free UK TV

Now I know Sky have started to show more live fights from the US for free (such as Pacquaio-Cotto and Mosely-Berto), but we need more live boxing than just Friday Fight Night, as there are so fights many they could be covering.

But although Sky are making some sort of an effort, what are the BBC or ITV doing? ITV has just pulled out of the rights for showing boxing, and although Sky or ESPN will get them, it's not good enough for terrestrial viewers or thos without Sky. So what I say is let's get a list of people on here who want this to happen, and email it to the BBC, ITV and SKY if we get say 100 or more names.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

Well done for creating this thread. This is a great idea.
Much more boxing to be televised in the UK.

BBC and ITV used to show all the big American fights but they dont anymore and i doubt they will again for some time. If BBC wont show British fights what hope have we that they will show American fights.

We can at least try and make a difference. I think its worth a try rather than leaving things how they are.

Boxing News already have a campaign to get more boxing on terestrial TV in the UK. Suggest you lend your support to that.

I agree there was talk of ITV picking up Haye vs Ruiz so hope that comes off.
