warren is the uk version of don king! and a source tells me that when he has a fighter that loses i.e. tony doherty, michael jennings and so on he will **** em about! such as offering **** money and short notice for matches! warren also only gives his fighters opponents short notice! and how long as the twat held calzaghe back for??? he's only truly beggining to let him loose now

i dont think he's ruining it, its just a shame that the british boxing scene is getting to the point of 'if your not with frank warren' we aint heard of you, e.g. the fact pretty much no one went out to france for the haye unification.

why I'm asking the question is the way he is managing Amir Kahn and the way he is filling him with crap, Amir Kahn said after his last fight he wants a world title shot withing the next five fights despite he is only in the top ten in one of the major world organisations. Ricky Hatton was right to leave Frank Warren because he has got better fights with his new manager like Castillo , Urango and not forgetting Maywheater and did he get the Kostya Tszyu with that promoter aswell

Wank is quite content to have his fighters stay domestic and have them passed off as world title fights, he can get away with it with the WBO but not with the WBC, see how many of his fighters win a non WBO title and give it up straight away, rather that fight a mandatory challenger

Calzaghe vacated his IBF title this year because he said "the IBF no. 1 contender wouldn't give him a good fight" BULLS**T , Frank Warren signed a deal with HBO to broadcast a Title fight between Calzaghe and Manfredo for the WBO title which meant the deadline for the mandatory fight would have clashed with WBO title fight. Warren isnt great he over protects his fighters but in the last 2 years he has put on some good cards Calzaghe has had 2 massive fights in the last 2 years and a couple of make time fights (which is liveable with). Skelton, Williams and Harrison have provided some good domestic level fights.
Amir Khan will be brought along v slowley but the Limond fight was a decent bit of match making as is Earl. Theres no point sticking Amir in with the 2nd coming of Julian Jackson just to see him get sparked thats going to do him 0 fans.
Im no Warren fan but with pressure from fans and the TV his cards have impoved so there are some competative fights.
Yes he corners the WBO instead of going for the big fights probably but that can work for the fighter as a barganing tool as well. There is an awful lot of politics in boxing and sometimes u need to give yourself an angle and lets face it he wants some $$ for himself as we all would.

I agree, getting Khan KO'd for the sake of it is'nt good business, but It did'nt do Haye any harm, he come back from a crushing defeat early in his career as did Alex Arthur and it was the making of them, they got a taste of what it's like it humbles them and makes them better, Khan will have to face the likes of Thaxton and then fighters way above the Thaxtons of this world.

Yep defeat can be a good thing but i think that depends on the fighter. already Haye is a proper fighter he has taken on tuff fights early and he isnt scared of loosing he took the number 1 fighter in his division on in Mormecks home time and beat him. How many British fighters do that now a days? its easier for Brit fighters to stay at home and beat 30 year plus veterans who were good in thier day thats Warren to a T.
