well cal has fought with broken hands during matches. obviously no idiot would want to fight with a broken hand now. i mean boxing involves your hands.

You know how much work went behind putting this fight together? This fight wouldn't be pushed back, but be canceled if kessler pulled out because of an injury. Calzaghe would end up fighting someone else, which gives someone else and opportunity to fight Calzaghe over Kessler. Push backs sometimes cost fights from happening. Like maskaev, he was suppose to fight sam peters but it never happened because his injuries kept him from fighting.

Kessler: I was injured (in danish)

              THE PAPER:
Kessler now says in a danish tabloid that his hand WAS injured and had not sparred for 3 weeks before the fight. He did not want to postpone the fight because he was affraid the fight would be cancelled. He says he do not want to use it as excuse, and thinks that he lost to a better man.

              ME:
Strange, because just after the fight he denied that his hand was injured. I hope this is not just a lame excuse, but I do not think that he would lie about something like that.

Well as dane and Calzaghe fan, I would be sad no matter who lost. Only during the fight did I start to be on Kessler's side. Calzaghe was being too disrespectful.

                  http://infocast.dk/bt/mediamaker.php?id=3548

                  Last part is in danish:

Interviewer: your comment on the fight
Kessler: It was crap I was out of breath in the sixth round.
Interviewer: how was Joe to fight.
                  Kessler: Awkward! Difficulkt. Experienced.
                  Interviewer: Whats next?
Kessler: I'll have to think about it.
