It's a RUMOUR, and it's put out by an English website. Use your head a little.

Ok, we willl see what he says after the fight

Kessler denies it in the Danish press today, saying "where the hell do they come up with this? It's not true at all, and I'll be happy to bring a heavy bag to thursdays press conference and show them there's no truth to it."

Sound like a guy making excuses? He might hurt his hand IN the fight, so what he says after the fight has nothing to do with "getting his excuse in early."

Mikkel Kessler reportedly Injured ahead of Joe Calzaghe Clash

According to a report published by the dailymail.co.uk, Mikkel Kessler who is set to face Joe Calzaghe this coming Saturday, is believed to be shielding a damaged hand. The report indicates the damage to his hand is so bad that Kessler has been unable to spar for two weeks. Kessler is not expected to do any sparring before he climbs through the ropes at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium to take on Calzaghe.

The report in the Daily Mail further states that the Kessler Camp are playing down whispered reports of the injury
and, bone deep though the bruising is said that it will not jeopardize their fighter's appearance.

Over 50,000 are reportedly set to watch the show at the Stadium.

**Joe Calzaghe vs. Mikkel Kessler is seen live Saturday, November 3 at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT, from Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on HBO.

The World Championship Boxing team will be ringside for the event, which will be presented in HD-TV and in Spanish language on HBO Latino.

I am still rooting for Kessler.

I know he would have to save face and say he didnt, just so he would walk into that fight with pride.

Wow! Kessler kicked Calzaghe's ass with an injured hand. Impressive.

I don`t think Kessler look like he is injured(from Cardiff today)

If Kessler said his hand was injured, chances are Calzaghe might underestimate him. What in the world does he stand to gain from denying a hand injury, if he's actually got one? Makes absolutely no sense.

We norsemen will never let a man know our weaknesses.

We are there to win, not get trampled.

In all honesty I hope youre right.

                    Heres hoping Mikkel is fine.

To be fair if he is injured and he still fights he is going to earn alot of props whatever the outcome, ive lost count of the amount of times Calzaghe has pulled out of fights with injuries
