Who do you pick?
Frazier was down more often and stunned by lesser punchers. ( Bruce, Bugner, Stander )
Bonavena nearly Ko'd Fraizer by Joe's owns words in their first fight, and while Oscar could hit and would probably
qualify as the second best puncher Frazier fought, he's not exactly what I think of when talking about punchers.
Foreman was puncher, and he Frazer down multiple times .
Had Frazier fought Liston, Norton, Lyle, Shavers or even Martin, we'd have a better idea about his chin. His management instead set hm up with guys his size or smaller who could not hit as hard as Frazier did.
By contrast Rocky was down far less ( Only twice ) and there were more flaws variety. Walcott could catch you off balance in a counter. Indeed he floored Louis three times. Moore had a pretty good right hand, and Rocky was up quickly.

Oscar would've been the most formidable for Rocky faced coming up until Louis.
Kinda dumb unprovable question.

Sorry, Frazier retired in 1976, there was plenty of time for Norton, Lyle or Shavers.
There really was no need to fight Ellis or Quarry a 2nd time in 1974 and 1975, other than these were low risk fights for Frazier. Why not Norton, Lyle, or Shavers here?
More to add. Frazier was also stung by Ramons who hardly landed and had to come back to beat an over weight Buster Mathis.Last edited by Dr. Z; 12-06-2020, 07:59 AM.

Liston weren't fighting any contenders then until his end because he was the Kiss of Death after being accused of QUITTING the Ali fights.
When did you move to chunky?
