Hence the error of trying to push a comtemporary fighter in with guys who history has had a chance to mellow in Oak ashen barrels like a 15 year old bourbon. Those boubons did not start out "mellow."

I have to wonder: When did Monzon become great? was it during his career? Canelo is not even at his best weight fighting Middle... So? Well... Canelo also has to be looked at with circumspection.

There is no way to know the status of GGG, Ward, Mayweather, Canelo, yet. Simple....

I still need to see GGG against quality like Basilio and Steele.

What a fight Benvenuti and Turpin would be! Awkward as two crab.

Golovkin is top 10....would be higher if he had more P4P fighters on his resume but that’s not his fault...most fighters ran from him like he was infected with the plague in his prime.
He couldn’t get them in the ring .....so that there should tell you how good he was in his prime

Andre Ward raised his hand to fight him but Golovkin scuttled that by asking for a 164 lb catchweight.

That should also be noted by historians.

            - -The same Wart who offered to fight TBE TUE @162lbs scuttled his GGG fight, not GGG.

Yup, engraved in stone now, so read it and weep thee softly in your lonely nights.

What does that have to do with the middleweights ? Ward was 168 yes ? Keep trying shoulder lol.
So are you saying top 10 is not fair for golovkin ?

You said Golovkin would be higher if he had more P4P fighters on his resume but most ran from him.

Well, Andre Ward was a P4P fighter that he could have had on his resume. But Golovkin was the one that ran.

Can't blame anyone else for that one.

not at middleweight ....you cannot make stuff up to suit your agenda lol
Canelo ran away from golovkin and was actually forced to drop a belt because he didn’t want to face him....and cotto refused to fight him.
Golovkin agreed a 164 with ward but ward said no to which you conveniently left out lol

Golovkin is an "actual sized," middleweight. He could have made 160 in the olden days on the day of the fight.
